Japanese Olive A5 Wagyu from crowdcow. My kitchen was covered in rendered fat and filled with smoke. I’m a slug. Can barely move - picklerick

Ducks beat the Devils 5-1 in NJ. Adam Henrique with a hat trick. Bet that made the Jersey fans happy |

Gibson was “under the weather” and didn’t play in the third. He either poop his pants or is the newest member of the NJD |

I yearn for the experience a normal good steak after what I just did to myself. That’s a once a year thing at most. |

I personally loved when the Bruins PBP team whined about Carlo cross checking Laf. If that was Trouba on Marchand, they'd still be whining about it.
Good to see Igor bounce back. |

Gotta think of it like this... does a great burger or short rib or brisket some how tarnish how good a steak is? No, yet theyre all beef, just prepared in a different manner. Does a great medium rare burger at Minetta Tavern tarnish how good a basic ass smash burger at White Manna is? Just gotta view it that way. |

Had some of my a5 wagyu stash tonight. Didn’t put a drop of oil in that pan. That’s all rendered fat. The steak liquifies in your mouth. Could only eat so much of it because of how rich it is. I’m sweating. Life complete. Finished it off with a shot of hibiki Japanese whiskey - picklerick
That grill pan is so shallow, it looks like you're a half second away from a whole-house fire |

A) I did not expect that much fat to render out of it
B) I discovered at the last second that my cast iron was rusted over |

I have a Lodge cast iron Ive been using for a long time. Im debating if I feel like stripping and retreating it, buying a new one from one of the big companies orrr go on the search for one of those old vintage cast irons. |

Yeah wasn't criticism, I just looked at that picture and went "hoooly poop"
As pointed out above, you can strip and re-season your cast iron. White vinegar bath and some steel wool would probably get that rust off relatively easy, depending on how bad it is. Assuming you're on Instagram here, Cast Iron Chris is an awesome follow. |

The best pan I ever used was from ikea believe it or not thing was like 10 bucks. Steak and chicken cook perfectly on it. And you don’t even need directions to put it together! |

They got some wicked whiny ass female doges up there. If Trouba hit Pasta how he hit Lindgren, ooooh boy the madness that would’ve ensued. |

Planning on picking up a pan or two in the not-so-distant future. I don't care about a whole set. |

Honestly, i hate the upkeep on those pans. I'd rather just fire up my nonstick all clads and throw in the dishwasher or handwash with soap without worrying about (frank)ing something up. I'm just not at a point in my life where pan maintenance is something i can wrap my head around when i have a toddler sticking play dough inside of things in the other room. |
