The irony of this whole morning tangent is that Kong39 is one of the few people on here you can have a rational conversation with, and whether or not he agrees with your opinion, can carry on a conversation and is the furthest thing from toxic
- Swedish_Jesus

Can't believe the guy who came in with the toxicity and all up on his high horse tried calling out other posters for toxicity and being up on their high horse.

I will throw my 2 cents on the topic

there is value at college free agent goalies as well

look at maine's Victor Östman

undrafted senor and maine has produced many nhl goalies over the years including former sabre great ben bishop and swayman

former buffalo jr sabre Luke Pavicich is an undrafted senor at UMass

Ryan Bischel is a 5 year player for notre damn that went undrafted

Gustavs Grigals was a free agent last spring, as was grabbed by nashville

This logic is very sound, well said. I agree.

the only way I go under the bridge is if adams trades an early 6th round pick for a late 6th round pick

Was that Botts? Holmberg looks good too. Could be a decent 3rd liner in a year or two for them.

IMO, drafting a Goalie is the biggest crap shoot in sports.
They prospects are very young so not fully developed for every position. Layer on top the general consensus that Goalies are voodoo and take longer to develop ... well, it is like picking the winning lottery numbers.

I subscribe more to pick a Goalie every draft on a value basis (mid / later rounds) unless one is projected to be a phenom.

At the time, one could easily argue that Goalie was a bigger need than a Dman...while both were bigger needs than a F.

Meh, we'll see better in 3 more years ... as of now it isn't looking so great. That could easily change based on the voodoo wind direction.

Would have probably changed this year when Luneau stepped on the Ice for the Sabres!🤘

Has he not been playing more right than left here?

+ just another talented D-man to compete with. IDK just seems like it may have effected the decision.

Dahlin Joker
R.Johnson Power
Samuelsson Luneau
Unfortunately will never come true but R.Johnson and Luneau could have made a fabulous pair, there skills match up very well.

Probably move on from Bryson.

Jost's services seem to be needed with the injuries. As well as Comrie.

Benson stays. No way he goes down. Be a waste of the first year of his contract. + he deserves to be in the lineup.

RyJo doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Levi maybe for the time being? Just to figure things out?

Comrie and Bryson, time to see if Levi and UPL can stay Healthy and become a decent tandem.

Seems like he started the year snake bit. He was on pace for 40 pts last year, but 0 in 7gms this year. He's ripping it up in the A again now, so he'll likely be an injury callup before long.

Edit: Either way, he's no Gustav.

If you can send Comrie down and get him past waivers cool.

I'd just be hesitant cause of how young the 2 are and their ability to stay healthy.

I would not be opposed to moving on from Comrie though and just throwing them to wolves at this point. Just that I think they're hesitant due to the age, experience, injury history.

With Murray going down, they have to send 2 with him or? (Once Greenway, Tuch and Quinn are ready)

I had to look up the trade, and boy was that a weird one.

Wonder what the Leafs did for Botts

They said they would be fearless, the bolded is fearless. The next sentence is the reality of Adams tenure as GM, scared.

Its a legitimate concern, whether we like it or not.

The last 3 games have been awesome from Levi, but I do have a little doubt he can keep it up.

I'm glad they went back to UPL today. Keep them both healthy and energized for their starts.

Comrie isn't helping the team win though which is why they should just move on anyways. If one of UPL or Levi get hurt, Comrie isn't back stopping this team to the playoffs.

It's a legitimate concern that was solved with a goalie who isn't good enough. Call up an AHL goalie if UPL/Levi fail. The plan to keep 3 goalies was wrong, the combination of the 3 failed early. It was a bad plan, exposing the flaws in the plan doesn't justify using it.

I would argue this approach played a massive role in the poor start to the season.
