No reason why Crevier should be dispatched to Rockford for further development.
.

As much as Hawk's fans, including myself, ring their hands over which rookie Dman should stay up or play in RKF it's a damn fine problem to have. ...... Should, could, Crevier stay up? I can argue for and against but I'm just a fan, don't know the "master plan" other than they ain't in a hurry with the prospects.

I'm on board with whatever they do and even for conversations sake I ain't got much except right ow I'm excited about Crevier along with Vlasic, KK, Kaiser, Del Mastro, Allen, wasn't as high as most on Rinzel but IMO took a good jump this yr as a freshman at U of MN.

And let me add something on Phillips. This dude is strong. This yr he threw off a 200 pounder while on the move. I won't forget that. And this dude will hit AND, along with Allen and Del Mastro, he has a bit of a mean streak that IMO after 3-4 yrs in the Bigs will develop into a legit physical Dman, and he can skate.

So, I think you're a bit off on Phillips. He's what 21-22? Young Dmen are conscious about not getting caught out of position and that can happen when you go after a hit. Once they understand when and when not to hit you see an uptick in physicality..... See that a lot in jrs as a kid works his way thru their league.

Bamford wrote a decent piece about the Hawk's are finally able to get real help from RKF, who will be coming to RKF and how their building a culture that starts at rookie camp.

IMO worth the read cuz RKF coverage is thin. https://www.bleachernatio...ng-from-rockford-icehogs/

There is a pre tournament slate might be 2-3 gp. Last cuts are not always made until deadline when they think so and so might be released to play

Someone in the know can verify this. Unless changes made (rules), a late add has occurred in some years

NHL clubs notify WJC clubs in advance of their pre-tournament camp if their gonna release a prospect for the tournament.

As far as the roster once it's submitted IIRC it's locked in injuries or not once the tournament has started.

Can we please beat the Blows today? I know we can't seem to win two in a row, but what a perfect day to break the streak! No, I don't know why is a perfect day, but it's all I got....

Couldn't agree more about Isaac Phillips (and others) - give him time, let him learn and most importantly let him understand he has big time internal competition to making the big league on a permanent basis with the Hawks. He will be a better pro by the time he is 23/24.

Lets use Mathias Ekholm as an example - @18/19 he played 79 games in the Swedish minor pro league; @ 20/21 played 96 games in the Swedish Elite League and then played 59 games in the AHL @22. At that point he was ready for the NHL and has never gone back.

Vlasic is a more recent example of the benefit of competing and graduating thru the minors.

Don't rush the player, develop him !!

Eddie was offered a rare chance to make more money and work alongside family (kinda like Red Chelly and burnt skinned Chelly) and simply wanted the hawks to pay a bit more to stop it. He wasn't putting them under the gun with an or else.

I think this along with the Toews-Kane departures are more about clearing the management side of persons who "might" be complacent with and during the Beach cover up. When the Nick Boyntons on that 2010 club say everyone knew and then the two hawk stars completely oblivious to it, I tend to think the hawks wanted them gone so the new ethical principals are established.

The Perry immediate punishment really helped establish that they were changed.
I am not so sure having guys around who did know what was up and out of team loyalty stayed quiet.

Unfortunately many fans are only too happy to launch a kid to the Andromeda Galaxy if he is unable to prove himself in twenty games. Reichel is a great example, the kid has some obvious skill but hasn’t figured out how to put it together and I see fans calling for his head. The same fans BTW who were calling for Kurashev’s head two years ago. And no doubt when Korchinski struggles, and he’s already started, fans will want him launched along side Reichel. Like you said, let the kids develop and let them make mistakes and struggle as it’s all part of the process.

So the conspiracy theorists could surmise that Perry's career was over, and he got 4 mil to do this and help the rebranding?

I am not sure what the implication is.

They didn't expect a 4 Mil Perry to be anyone but a big nasty with hands and net front presence who could help the kid.

His action gave them the perfect springboard to invoke Human relation protocols they told the league they were improving / changing in the area of weakness (eg. Knowing that Beach was approach by captain video pants and the team was calling him fag and not making any change/ reaction for fear the publicity would crowd staying focus on the Silver Cup.

Perry will do a program on drinking, another on inter-realtions with co-workers and sign with a contender with no picks to Blackhawks.
(I am not so sure if the season went on w/o this "party fart" they would be wanting him to leave in at the deadline unless he wanted to.)

Conspiracy theory?

Nah

and to old guys like me, conspiracy is when you refer to hockey people in shortened cap names.

I sometimes go to Cap Friendly and team lists to see who the heck posters are speaking about.
Today RKF got me ------Rckfd wouldn't have....

Looks like the Hawks have placed Korchinski on the non-roster list and recalled Phillips. Interesting.

It’s obvious the Hawks have finally realized that Korchinski is a bust. 🤣

My guess is that the Hawks will loan KK to play in the world juniors.

So does Little Nappi play whackamole with arguably his 2 best trade chips at the deadline Mrazek and Richardinson, and deal them for 2nd/3rd round draft choices or does he decide that for the next 2 years that it is more beneficial to keep them to actually help the players on the team now.

Anaheim is the third worst team in goals for in the league (only the Hawks and Sharks are worse). Yet Mrazek still faced 37 shots, many high danger. The young defenseman (let alone the vets) still need a goalie that can cover for their mistakes. How much worse would the D look if they didn't have confidence that every mistake would not automatically end up in the back of the net.

Richardinson this year has been the best forward not named Bedard. Forget about his offense, he totally owned Carlsson, winning 12 of 14 face-offs and playing lights out defensively.

Both are liked in the room, both have been leaders to the group, and have been thru the wars with the team. I actually wouldn't mind them extending Foligno for another year either. Considering Jones and Murphy aren't going anywhere, wouldn't the 5 be a good leadership for the kids going forward, and this way the GM can actually spend money to acquire players to provide skill on the ice, as opposed to searching for "leadership", AKA "we are still in tank mode".

I wouldn't trade either.

if they move anything it should be futures

Being out of the Chicago market, I mostly have the choice of listening to the Hawks or the other teams broadcasts. Lately, I always opt for the opposing teams, I actually learn more about the Hawks from the research done by the oppo.s announcers than Voisters, and Pang.

For instance the Ducks said Luke told them they want Bedard to move his feet more, and KK to move his feet less (be more "quiet"). Never have gotten that from the Blackhawks broadcast team.

In the Detroit game, Mickey Redmond was head over heels about Bedard, and korchinski, and explained little nuances as to why. Again never got that info. from the Hawks broadcasters, besides learning about the team the Hawks are playing.

oh nice im out of market too may have to make that move in hopes of catching a broadcast where someone actually does their job well

Reichel has looked bad. Hasn't flashed a whole lot that is going to say this guy is going to be anything other than a Donato type player. After all that time in magical rockford you'd think he'd be marinated enough. You should have see a flash with him. You should see games where he plays excellent and games where he plays like poop. It should be the consistency and speed of the NHL he's adjusting to not figuring out how to play hockey.

Kurashev is not a good hockey player either. Again an enigma. Has all the tools but doesn't seem to have a brain. Doesn't work hard on the boards. Is smart enough to shoot the puck every time he's on the ice because the rest of the other team is worried about Bedard but other than that he has been and is still clueless.

Korch has stretches where he looks very good with a few mistakes and some poor games where he looks lost. But you think - man when he starts to click he's gonna be a very good hockey player. Philips looks like's more than a toolsy fast guy but same thing wow if he clicks he may not suck. Vlasic obviously looking very good most of the time.

Reichel and especially Kurashev - not a whole lot when you watch the game to say wow those guys are gonna be good hockey players. They've been rubbish and haven't shown any potential to be consistent top 6 or even top 9 players on a good team.
