everyone in baseball world knows he met with Dodgers. "yeah we met". O. M. G. - drexel
There are maybe 4 or 5 teams all trying to attract you and all willing to pay $500-600. You ask that meetings and conversations be kept private. One manager says , yeah we met and it went well. Maybe it’s nothing or maybe there’s a bit of a trust issue at play when you’re making the biggest decision of your life. |

Who aren’t considered players in this. He probably ends up with Oakland by the time it’s done.
I’m still astounded that Rogers is prepared to pay that kind of $ |

Apparently a Japanese tv network paid for the rights to broadcast Ohtani games last year. I wonder what that fee was. Would that would be a direct write off for rogers vs his salary. |

Hmmm. I regularly go to Sarnia and back, so this is doable on the trip. In fact, I'm doing that trip very soon. I may have to visit this establishment. |

Finished all of my Xmas shopping early this year. Feels nice to be done with that poop and now I can let everyone else crowd the stores and worry if their packages will arrive on time. Usually I'm still buying poop right up until the last possible moment. |

I’ve been wondering about the t.v. aspects of this especially for an owner like Rogers. You’d think that MLB sells the broadcast rights internationally, not an individual team. Rogers didn’t get rights when they signed Kikuchi. |

The angels werent really considered players when ohtani first came over.
Ohtani is great marketing and brand recognition.
Im sure rogers want more visibility out east, maybe. |

Just paid $62 USD shipped for an iron meteorite worth $300 USD. Not bad.

Leafs have 5 days off and Treliving hasn't done squat. I guess this is the team we're stuck with going forward. Soon the Christmas freeze will happen, then we go into January with a few gold nuggets and a handful of steel slugs in our pocket. Not a good makeup for a team with playoff asperations. I'm guessing Treliving will allow Willy to walk and we'll get $7M of cap space and a wasted season. At least we'll be 2 year away from being rid of punch drunk Ryan Reaves. Fleabag hockey anyone? - PrinceLH
mostly iron pyrite tho🤦🏿♂️

It's the real deal. My day job is selling space rocks and fossils.
The pay is terrible. The benefits suck. But, the boss is cool and I set my own hours.

Ya, not sure about the breakdown but lots of coin to be factored in and I suspect Rogers could exploit any available Japanese $$ better than Moreno.
from Rosenthal ..
While the team did not disclose how much money it made off Ohtani, ESPN estimated the annual number to be in the “low tens of millions of dollars.” Signage from Japanese companies was evident at Angel Stadium. NHK, a Japanese television network, broadcast every Angels game last season until the team shut down Ohtani on Sept. 16 |

Yeah, because museums and institutions don't have enough common specimens piled up in back rooms. Anything I find of scientific interest goes straight to the university
You're on the side of the SVP. Duly noted.
I'm Indiana Jones.
Edit : SVP thinks everyone like me is Indiana Jones. Plundering specimens, breaking laws, shady dealings, etc. I'm not that guy. I have a good working relationship with the university and I operate completely within the law. I have one of the world's leading vertebrate paleontologists on speed dial. Not gonna drop names because I don't want to spoil that. I'm not the guy peddling smuggled dinosaurs to Nick Cage. |

Sales are pretty brisk this year. I'm not complaining, except for the constant trips to the post office.

That is one of those regrettable moves. Laff > Reaves.
Personally, I'm glad Glendening is no longer a Leaf because I'm liking him as a Bolt.
Looking around the league, which ex-Leafs (recent), do you guys wish we had back?
Schenn didn't wanna stay, but he would have been way better than Klinger.
