IDK, but they could sure use a right shot bomb on the PP. And I doubt he'd learn anything else in juniors. - Tojo.
The CHL transfer rule sucks. I feel like in recent memory we’ve had several promising prospects that get stalled because they’re too good for juniors but can’t go to the ahl. |

A lot of prospects would benefit. It's a BS money grab by keeping those guys from making the jump. |

Ah, I see he played for the Avs while I was living in Australia. It was hard enough for me to follow the Penguins from that time zone, wasn't really paying any attention to the rest of the league then.
Anyway, agree he's been a disappointment, though it does seem that D often struggle when switching teams for much longer than one would expect. Hopefully he sorts himself out.
Ludvig and Shea have been great pickups. Demonstrates that there's no need to sign 3rd-pair guys to more than $1M with any term (e.g. as Hex did with Rutta). There are guys like this out there that you can sign to close to league min. - MickV
I don’t think 3rd pair dmen or 4th liners need to be over a mil. That’s just a luxury. If all your other ducks are in a row and you have several team friendly contracts sure it’s obviously nice to have higher quality depth. But lots of these young guys are playing their hardest because they need to prove themselves to keep playing. |

It does. The last year is usually a waste for most prospects. If anything they pick up bad habits because they've outgrown the competition both physically and skill development and get used to doing things that won't work against pros. |

Prob better off going to Europe for a year. How does the us national development team work? Canada might need something like that maybe. |

Every game they have 1 period like this it seems. I’d rather it be the 1st than the 3rd |

Good point. I wish they let us know ahead of time so we could skip it lol |

I remember when these games were wild, high-scoring, fight-filled poopshows. I miss that so much. |

I'd be in favor of each NHL team being able to 'buy out" one player per year throughout the entire CHL. I'd make the condition that the NHL team would have to pay the CHL team the full value, including player bonuses, of the player's full contract. At which point the NHL team could send the player to the AHL, if they choose to do so. |

I don’t believe they make a single dollar. From what I’ve always understood it’s to keep talent from leaving the chl earlier than need be. |

It's actually to MAKE money. They have pretty large operating costs on par with most AHL teams. Taking away their best talents would be a severe blow and would make the QOC worse, thus watering down the talent and diminishing the "development " portion of the leagues.
But I agree, it does suck. |

I'm just hoping it's one of those cases where a guy takes a while to figure things out with his new team. He's been bad a lot of nights. |

Why does this team go full retard as soon as they score |
