If they took out the orangey/red color here I could put up with the yellow. I just don’t know what color mixes well with it.

You know, Alex Burrows only had four 20+ goal seasons with the Canucks, I thought it would've been more for some reason.

Still, pretty impressive for a player who wasn't that highly touted to play in the show.

Being on the Sedin line sure helped.

Tocchet during his interview on @DonnieandDhali
today said, “I think a change of scenery could help Kuzmenko.”

.............................................................................

I didn't see the interview but I have said it a few times over the last month. Trade Kuz while he has value. He is the next obvious piece to get value for.

Trade him for a first round pick and bring in Kessel for 1 mil for the rest of the year.

What a mistake that would be. Literally trading a guy simply because he had a sky-high shooting % last year and hasn't maintained it.

He's seemingly so committed to doing the right things having changed his diet, exercise routine, etc. based on what the team asked of him and yet they're probably going to just get rid of him because the coach doesn't like him

Definitely would be a mistake. Dude is committed and talented, and been a bit snake-bitten.

Problem is you can only have so many shiny toys. You will be signing EP Zadarov Hronek, looking for another top 4 D and then Boeser the following year while trying to add to your top six forwards.

Only so much money and he has been in Tochetts doghouse a few times.

They missed out on cashing in large for him last TDL. Scoring buckets of goals with a entry level contract. Any team heading for the playoffs could have made cap space to add a 30+ goal scorer... His value is terribly low now.

I don't think they'll push to sign Zadorov, unless he reaallly impresses down the stretch. But then he's just upping his contract.

This is where the scouting, drafting, developing cycle comes in. Having those cheap ELCs are need to balance it all out.

I won't commit to this but keep an eye on Willander. I think if he is close he is your ELC that balances the cap. Likky could be another one they rush for the same reasons if close.

The cap is suppose to be going up by five mil next year, which could add flexibility.

If any truth to that comment for me it means RT doesn’t see Kuz a fit for what he wants. A trade for a 1st could be tough & would have to wait probably. Kessel?

I threw Kessels name out there because he would be under a mil. If you have another top six player for under a mil feel free to replace Kessel.

I mean, if Tocc doesn't like Kuz because he's not the most responsible, how's he going to like Kessel?

Five million reasons. Don't get attached to the name Kessel. I only threw it out there.

If you have five to six mil in cap room at TDL you can pick up a significant piece.

Few teams can take on his cap.
Caps can & they need scoring.
NYI also needs scoring.

Tocc doesn't care about how much players make, that's for Allvin and Co.
