Honestly, I can imagine that teams are hip to the fact that Igor can play the puck well and game plan to avoid allowing him to handle the puck particularly with an empty net.

I'm not old enough to know/remember that. I am old enough to remember when they brought those back when I was kid. They looked bad then. I'm fine with them being vaulted forever. |

I was at that game against the Canadiens at the Meadowlands. The Devils were up by 2 goals with a few minutes left and my Dad who hated traffic said, "come on, we're going." I said, "Dad, the game's not over." He said, "I gotta get up at 5 AM so we need to beat the traffic."
We exit the building and we hear a huge roar from the crowd. Get in the car and we hear Marty scored a goal on the radio.
To this day, I have NEVER left a sporting event early since then.
