Campbell is even struggling in the AHL. this idea of taking on such a horrible contract is completely ridiculous, but I guess it's on par with HB trade rumors.

its a poop idea for sure but if they throw their first back (unprotected)...there a still a great chance they will miss the playoff

Check the rest. It's kind of insane. All they needed was to hit on like 2 guys.

there's still time but they definitely shot themselves in the foot with the way they started the season, it's gonna take a pretty big turnaround.

I'm out of the corner.

Still think it's not that horrible of an idea.

Despite the very low odds of it happening.

I don't see how having a horrible goalie playing for your farm team is a good thing, you get rid of the 3-goalie situation but you're creating another issue. I really hate it personally so let's hope you're right that the odds of it happening are low lol

Hear me out Pat!

Campbell, despite being a bad goaltender, is a very good dude. By all reports.

Him being bad in the AHL doesn't change much. Hell, despite everything, he's still probably better than the guy playing alongside Dobes once he gets some sort of groove going. He can be Dobes veteran presence along his journey to superstar goaltender/NHL backup/complete failure.

If you can get a former first round pick (local kid too woo!), another first and solve our goaltender situation... with the difference in cost for the next two years being 1.2M.

I don't think it sucks all that much.

But hey, it's just for fun. It's not happening.

yeah, he might be a good dude and a veteran goalie but that doesn't really mean he can help out other goalies in their progress... personally I would much rather look elsewhere, to avoid having to play a guy you already knew sucked ass.

Trading Monty will not impact the Habs rebuild negatively, but could positively (depending on the return).

Monty will not be the goalie, regardless, when the Habs are respectable again.
