If he was a top 4 guy for us I’d agree with you, but he’s not and he won’t be for at least 2 more years either. Fox isn’t going anywhere and neither is Trouba. Hell they could probably sign Trouba again for a couple of seasons and he still won’t be top 4 guy
3C>>>>>>3rd pair D all day everyday imo - Slimtj100
It’s a false choice. Keeping Schneider/3rd pair depth and obtaining a 3C are not and never should be tied to each other. Schneider is worth a hell of a lot more than that anyway. But also, we do not need an expensive 3c

So we have a D who is capable of playing top 4 minutes playing on our 3rd pair making pennies? Yea who needs that kind of quality. |

Jenner will be a part of the core too. Hes a very underrated player. I really only brought it up because of JD and how he orgasmed in front of all us that day regarding Schneider |

We’re gonna start losing games 2-1 because of the holes up front. Especially if PP slows down at all |

Agree to disagree. We are both stubborn in our views lol I just think the Chytil injury has caused a pretty big hole that we can’t fill in house. |

Schneider is a bottom pair defenseman which is fine for now. People just thought he would make a push for a top 4 spot. He just inst good enough yet

He won’t have the opportunity either is the main point. Bonino cannot be the 3C the rest of the season, it’s as simple as that. This will cause us an early elimination from the playoffs far more then then 3rd pair D will. It’s basically the same thing that was facing Laf, he was forced to switch positions because of it. |

Drury is not trading a defensemen from the roster. If he wants a center of any worth, he’ll need to give his 1st rounder plus. Every team can use a good skating 2nd/3rd line center they won’t come cheap. Besides, I’m not sure how anxious JD is to help the Rangers improve, unless they make him an offer he can’t refuse,
Drury is far more likely to bring in a forward who can play the right side, skate well and has a scoring touch. The bromance line needs a boost now, before it becomes a real issue.
My choice. Frank Vatrano.

It’s shame they had to let Frankie walk. I agree he’d be a perfect fit.

Need to try and find a bargain 3C. Keep Tro as the 2C. |

I’m down for that. Anyone really. Jenner has a couple years left which is why I like him so much. Not a rental. Chytils health is what will determine it obviously |

$3.6 mil per year on a long term is why. Look at last year, he had 22 goals and 19 assists with top line duty, was he seeing that here? Is that worth $3.6 mil (don't bring up Goodrow as he wasn't' being dealt) |

Much rather Frankie V. on the bromance line over Kakko, and Wheeler can be moved back to the 3rd line where he belongs.
I like players who are effective, I guess you have forgot how well Vatrano played while with the Rangers. He used that success to make a little more money. After all, that’s what it all about for players.
I’m sure the Ducks would take a flyer on Kakko, and he can hang out on the beach where he seems to be happy. |

What an amazing improvement for Laffy. Looks like a different player. Confidence and playing with a totally energized Panarin, can work wonders. I hope he keeps it up. |
