Calgary gets rid of his contract and gets a shot at Willie to resign and Leafs Hu at a discount. To me this is the type of deal that the Leafs could go for…..a reclamation project if cap is eaten. Maybe Cgary throws in Zadorov or maybe it’s a bigger deal but, you get the pic!

He will get around $11.5m. I am sure the Leafs will try and keep the deal to 5 years. Nylander camp will want and get 8 years. Nylander is on of the best technical skaters in the game so he will not lose much in terms of speed or balance over the 8 year term. It will be a good long term deal for both sides.
