The Leafs have been trying to trade Nylander all summer, during the preseason, and have been in talks this year with...NYI, CLB, CGY, CAR, LAK, etc...

Only thing worse than made up rumours about the Leafs trading Nylander, which they've never done, is the absolutely laughable bad returns in said made up rumours.

Leafs have shown it year after year after year. This core can’t win. We keep playing the same cards over and over and over with the same results. Why will this year be any different? The team plays the same way they always do……..mail it in until there is 10 minutes left then try to out score the other team……nobody on D hits, nobody is afraid to go into the Leafs end, nobody is afraid to stand in front of our net. During playoffs the other teams push Marner around and punch him in the face and nothing happens. It’s always the same. But this year is different!? Yeah ok, whatever.

Your posts are always the same which is kind of comforting in this crazy, ever-changing world.

With the original contracts for the core four, Dubas and Shanahan believed they could get to a stanley cup. with the flat cap, the plan was derailed. Now, they have a new shot at setting up for a cup contender over the next 5 years. Trevling and Shanahan need to get this one right this time. And re Dubas...he complained about his contract to the media (via family stress) and Shanahan fired him. I hope the Penguins lose every game this season.

You know, all Nylander has to do, is look at the faces of McDavid and Leon to see how much fun they are having. Personally I don’t get it. I’d do one year maybe two year contracts to play on the team I want to be on, rather than getting a few more bucks to play on a team that sucks.
