Agreed. Pre-Chytil injury, I was ready to poop on Trocheck all year. He still takes the occasional boneheaded penalty, but he’s been extremely productive on that 2nd line and is killing it on faceoffs.

Shesty rebounded after the bad first period. He made some crucial saves as the game wore on. Vanecek too made some stellar saves. Both these teams are the best in the NHL imo (fully healthy)

I almost feel like that rusty first period was almost necessary for Shesty. The team got it together, carried him, he rewarded their play with some stellar saves after that bad first and they pulled out the win.

Great stat dropped by Vally in the postgame about Shesty being money. #1 goalie in each of the past 2 seasons when the game is tied, 1 up or 1 down.

Really GREAT win tonight!

Off a long break, on the road, Shesty coming in rusty, referees/Toronto doing us NO favors --- all of the elements were in place for a loss. Yet we adapted, overcame and WON!

I’m not saying I want Patrick Kane on this team right now but, if I was him why in the world would I want to go play with Buffalo who are dead last in the Atlantic?
