fair enough, I was just poking fun at expected for and against, or high danger low danger. The way people poke fun at +/-, shots of goal, etc.

All good guys, I'll move on,

Thoughts on tonight, Canuck may be quite tired after that comeback?

- Makita

Feels like a scripted loss, unless DeSmith decides to have another stellar game. Canucks barely played well enough to win last night, got gifted a lot of PP time.

That said, Calgary sucks, so who knows. Maybe Petey has a 5 point night, he has yet to play his best this season.

Sure, I don’t put much stock into anything that Canucks Army writes. Some folks think the Flames coaches are idiots with how they use him. Some don’t. In my personal viewings I like and value his skating and grit
- CanuckDon

It's not as if the guy wrote an opinion article about it. He looked at what has actually happened with him in Calgary.

His skating is good and the grit is great. If he's a right shot, you are probably pairing him with Hughes and his cost is twice as high.

The point that was made in the article was that if the D were a little bit different that it would be a good idea but as he compared him to a different version of Myers, he isn't really an upgrade he's just another 4/5 D and Canucks need more of a right handed 3/4 D. He is an upgrade over Juulsen and Friedman just not a dependable top 4 guy on the right side.

Good points but recent history(previous 2 games to last night) had them struggle in the first of the b2b but go all in for the 2nd. So who knows. Just another test is how I see it.

Yeah, it might just be me thinking of the Canucks of the past decade instead of the Canucks of now

After the 1st two PP goals against the Canucks became more determined which got them the PP chances. I also think Petey has so much more to bring, as Booner said he seems to be playmaking and not using his shot, playing through something for sure.

B2B are always hard on a team, hopefully De Smith continues his solid play, and the team feeds of that.

I still want to keep Garland. He draws a penalty a game or so it seems like and as you said the play is usually in the other end. He had a nice shot block last night. When Suter draws back in I think it is a decent line.

What’s up with Garlands muffin of a shot these days tho?
I’ve seen him flub it repeatedly.

It's so wild that the guy is tied for the league lead in points and practically the whole fanbase agrees he can do better

Ottawa up 4-0 in the 2nd. Switched it off, you know pulled a Night hawk "spoke too soon". End of second 4-4.

Coach Jay Pandolfo (@TerrierHockey) on freshman RH defenseman Tom Willander (VAN): "Tom's a very efficient player. He's very good defensively at ending plays, & then when he ends up plays, he usually makes a pretty good first pass and that gets you on transition pretty quickly."

We don't know yet. RT has confirmed he's playing hurt though.

Just an assumption based on watching him play.
You won't find it on a stat sheet until it's confirmed by the club.

Ah, yeah I believe it. He hasn't fully looked like himself for a while now, if at all this season. Goes to show how talented he is though.

Or he is getting a lot of PP points, which could be driving his 5v5 numbers down.

That guy drives me crazy. He just looks so fucking disinterested. Then you look at the stat line and it's WTF? Carries around that pissed off face all the time. Those Swedes are so morose. Naslund was no different.

Most of the league leaders are close to Petey in PP points.

He's a goth emo.
We used to call them 'death cookies' in the '80's. Pasty white, wearing all black, shoe-gazers. Drowning their sorrows in Joy Division.

It was just a few short years ago, that the analytics crew argued that players who score 50% or mor, on the PP were playing at unsustainable rates and were going to regress etc, etc.
The like a player, it is all good, they don't like a player it is all bad.
Cherry-picking at its finest.

In 80's Toronto we use to call them batcavers before the term Goth arrived. Friday night at the Twilight Zone was get laid night...
