Playing injured means he’s able to play and a long way from being out for the season. He will want to try to improve his play, not agree to sit for the year.

Klingbergs contract is already half paid out.

The fact is they received value for 3.5M in salary and cap.

He’s on the Leafs and is getting a lot of negative attention, it’s really all it is.

A team will take him for free in a deal. Easy.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle on that one.

The majority of players in the league with zero term after this season can be traded, it's just that Klingbergs market would be woefully limited due to the fact that no one wants garbage. No team is looking for an offensive defenceman who isn't producing and makes awful decisions offensively, and downright couldn't play defence to save his life.

So know-it-all stating he could go to any team in the league is a wild stretch, but flames fan saying he's untradeable most likely isn't accurate either.
