Well so far the good news is JTM is showing his to earn his 8m & lead by example. It should help getting Petey signed at a fair contract less than 12m. Imo about 11m more only when he ups his game to the next level than just points. Even then I don’t think any player is worth more than 11m or even that much. Yes McD included cuz doesn’t leave enough pie to go around. 11-12m only goes to a player drags his team to a Cup never before then.

They didnt look sharp tonight and lost but the stat sheet sure looks different.

Canucks 11 more shots, outhit them, beat them on the dot, PP goals, less giveaways, more takeaways, but Leafs did have more blocked shots... pretty much only stat they came out on top of.... aside from goals... which trumps all.

Petey -3 tonight. Not very often he plays like that. Still leading the NHL with a point added... Kuch and his team got shut out...

Well that sucked.

Music to the ears of those posting laughing emojis loving Canuck losing. The game collapsed on them and deservedly so as they didn’t make Leafs pay when it counted.

I want more from him & want him to earn that huge deal. Mini slump maybe but he’s not been a puck possession player like normal. Too casual & not enough desperation in his play of late. Looking a bit lost out there. JT has played lights out against ops top lines overall. Petey needs more fire like he has shown. It’s the next step for him that he demands on himself so get to it.

The first sentence of my post... "They didn't look sharp tonight".... so your eye test shows they did look sharp tonight.... I disagree.... they looked terrible. You are probably the only one that disagrees that they didn't look sharp tonight. Man on an island.

Your soap box rants about Petey and his contract that is many months from now is getting tiresome. He gambled on himself. We'll see how that works out.

Good grief... kid is still the league leader... we don't know what he's getting and last game you were using what fans think as the bar. Give it a rest.

You also don't think they looked terrible... they were losing board battles, couldn't put a pass together 5v5... some old familiar bad habits from players like Myers. Demko was not up to snuff either. Petey a -3... Hope they play better tomorrow.

Thx. Didn’t look sharp was mentioned. I saw outworked & outplayed & not as hungry as the Leafs. The better team won. Just another lesson to learn from & forget & move on to the Habs.

Look at it this way.... if someone were to look at the score and stat sheet but didnt watch the game or catch a recap, they would think the canucks played decent but got outscored. Furthest thing from the truth in reality. Don't know how you got it backwards. Knee jerk post as usual.

First regulation lose in 10 games. I blame Booner, he’s always whining about the Leafs.

*loss

Clearly it's Judd Brackett's fault for drafting Petey. Now we got to pay him twelveteen billion...

They lost, seems like them and Vegas are in a slip up like us, it’s a long season stick with the process.

I just heard petey is playing through an injury the team is not trying to play him to much, -3 tonight, Hughes and Hronek had a tough 3rd period, I seen some things tonight that we havn’t seen this year.

Yeah on the excuses side that’s all accurate. Still a choke job by Canucks not playing to prove they are worthy.

Anyway all still right with the standings. Canucks huge gap on division. Now a 2 point one on Kings who lost again but no loser point this time.

Canucks win against Habs and all is back on track. Lose and the snickers grow louder.
