He’s become an absolute anchor on any line they put him on. It’s tough to watch. I love Lee but he is done

Agreed. It's really sad to watch and he's smart enough to realize it

Really tough to watch for a great guy like Lee. I wish the Lou that was so tough with Robin Lehner's contract offer never left. That was brilliant Lou.

Truthfully, Lee hasn't been right ever since his knee injury. He scored goals last year but as many of us pointed out back then, he was not only ultra slow, but he was suddenly losing physical battles too.
Like I said, he's smart enough to realize it, which makes it tough to watch

Yup have to admit he really has never recovered from his knee injury.
Sad really.

Hate seeing Lane looking like a deer in headlights after every goal against. HE SUCKS!

Would have been great for everyone and especially for Lee if the Islanders could have gotten to the Cup in one of those ECF years.

I think Lou needs to make a coaching change soon. Like yesterday. Not sure who's available. But something needs to be done.

I’m not disagreeing with you when I say this but firing Lane doesn’t fix the problem. I’ll also add I bet Lou does do it but it’s only to take the heat off himself who is the real problem.

I agree with you 1000% that Lou is the problem. But I’d like to try a different approach with this group before completely bailing on them. I love MM and Cal, but CZ is the only good piece to that line at this point. He’s been very solid. Give Gauthier and whoever else a shot with Casey. Inject some speed. Can’t hurt. They’re not the entire problem but just one example Imo.

Yeah sure may as well try something before you blow it up. Still trying to figure out why this wasn’t done last TDL? Still makes zero sense. We could’ve avoided these terrible (frank)ing contracts we’re now handcuffed too. Now we just extended the dead weight so we can have some more Lee and Martin like contracts for perpetuity. Being that both of these guys are obviously under contract so this never happens but I wouldn’t mind making a swap with the Pens for Sullivan.

When your gm is 80+ years old, he doesn’t have much time left to do a rebuild. This has to be his last year. A simple thing like replacing Maclean would have been a good idea, it can’t hurt. PP can’t be much worse.

I keep going back to the Bruins. They fire their coach (who wins a cup in Vegas), only to hire a coach, who I never heard of, that wins president trophy and Jack Adam’s. They lose their two best centers, and they’re off to a better start than last season.

Again, that’s on the GM. Bruins success with their, at points, aging roster is moving on from the right players at the right time and promoting youth at the correct time of their development. The very definition of asset management. Add to that putting the right people in the right places. Other then trotz Lou has been unable to do any of these things.

Exactly right! Lou should have thought more about the future of the team and what is best for the team and not himself. Lou had his run and should want to leave the team in the best possible shape. The problem is Lou wants this job forever and is not thinking of moving on. L & M are also the problem. They do not look around and ask what other team has an 80-year-old GM.

Ha-ha! I have a problem. I talked to Ledecky to get Garth fired. Do I talk to Bettman to get L&M fired?
