That's great. Now try at 5v5, like I said I was talking about. It's even more skewed by your numbers because 6 of Mika's 9 points were on the PP, while the unit KK is seeing PP time on has been much less successful.
- Tonybere

That is majority of the time 5 on 5. It's listed there.

His goal was nice too, solo effort forcing a defensive zone turnover and coming in for a breakaway. Unreal value with that pick.

Now we get a look at a #NYR practice lineup, with a couple notable changes:

Kreider - Zib - Wheeler
Panarin - Trocheck - Laf
Cuylle - Bonino - Kakko
Vesey - Goodrow - Pitlick

Miller - Trouba
Lindgren - Gustafsson
Jones - Schneider

Edit: Kakko 3rd line... Also just change Jones-Schneider please.

I think where your argument falls apart is the previous years of success Kreider and Zib have had together. They are like a symphony out there at times, Kakko is bringing nothing out of them at 5 on 5
- Slimtj100

Sorry, I fell behind a bit while actually doing some work!

I don't feel like my argument falls apart because Mika and Kreider's chemistry is not a factor in what I'm talking about. Historically, Zibby has his lowest point per game and +/- totals in the months of Oct. and Nov. But, this year it's KK's fault? It couldn't be that Zibby trying to find his stride is more of a factor for Kakko's start than the other way 'round?
All I'm saying is, leave well enough alone until we are actually leaving points on the table.

First condolences to the fam, Jan.

I knew Kakko would move off that line after 10-11 games if he did not produce. He is better off as a 2nd/3rd line winger. Surprised how much he regressed after a good last year. Wheeler has exp up there but rather see Cuylle at this point.

Jones is not an nhl player. Shcneider has not been good and will look worse with jones. Will be a grind until folks are healthy

Yeah, this was kind of my point before. Kakko has been bad but so has Zib 5v5, offensively. If they start scoring and its the ZIB& Kreider show and Kakko still looks bad, then its time for a change

I could do with one less 6 on the board there.
Harpur or Hollowell should get a chance, 'cause at this point if someone claims Jones of waivers,... whatever.

Zac Jones should early talent in limited minutes. I know what doesn't work after only 2 games this year is 6-4. They stink together. If Jones is gonna play, it can't be with Schneider. Both bring out the worst in each other.

Schneider seems to play at the level of his partner, be it good or bad. I'm not usually one for knee-jerk reactions, but Jones looked in over his head every time he was on camera on Sat. He stood out as not being up to the task every single shift that I can remember.

Now we’ll see who’s at fault. I just find it hard to blame to Zib and Krieder based off what we’ve seen for numerous seasons now. They’re a dynamic duo when they’re rolling

They could definitely be the worst team ever. Like no exaggerating lol they are awful. No team since 1967 (I think I heard that was the year) has given up a 10 spot in b2b games. And they have 12 goals as a team in a 11 games to boot

I get that chytil is hurt but Bonino and goodrow are the worst two offensive forwards we have, by regular numbers, fancy numbers, and the eye test. They shouldn’t be close to the top 9 unless there’s multiple injuries. Bonino is fine as 4c. Goodrow can go to the moon for all I care, but he won’t because of his contract. Brod should be in over one of them (but definitely goodrow) and centering the 3rd line. Cuylle and kakko are going to be severely weighed down

Kreider has 2 EVS goals and 2 EVS assists. Zibanejad has 1 EVS goal and 2 EVS assists. Kakko has a total of 2 EVS points. It just is what is its at this point. They need a RW.

not much they can do tho. JBrod only played because Goodrows wife gave birf.

I’m happy to see Cuylle and Kakko together, I think that will unlock Kakko a bit. Less pressure too
