Through 10 games and 108 minutes at 5v5, as a line Kreids-Zib-KK have 2 goals for and 1 against. It's not a one man problem. And yes, it could be worse. - Tonybere
With all the injuries Kakko isn't going to get moved right now.
But can we all agree Jones shouldn't be playing? Just looks like a small AHLer out there |

Yea been saying it forever that Jones is too small. He’s not skilled enough like Fox or Quinn Hughes (smaller guys) to hang in the NHL. This is why they traded Nils they’re both 150 lbs soaking wet |

I'm told you can only have one Dman under 6 foot if you want to win. |

Jones just isn’t an nhl player. Schneider looks bad too and has been carried by Gustafson all year |

San Jose gave up 10 goals again tonight, for the 2nd straight game, both games at home too. A bonus for their fans. They are epically bad.

I know they're in rebuild but at some point they've got to get rid of Quinn. This record is going to kill any confidence their young players have |

hey, bright side, this team has played about 20% of its road games already
they have 3 games until a 5 day break
just somehow manage to get points in these games, recharge and regroup |

Would’ve bet big money that Kakko would be the player on the verge of a major breakout over Laf. His effort on the forecheck and puck possession were one of the best of the team. He was getting chances every game but waiting too long to shoot or passed when he should have shot etc. This season is completely different, think he’s feeling the pressure of playing on the top line and thinking way too much. I like what others suggested of having him play opposite of Cuylle. Could be a win-win of Wheeler meshes with Zib and Kreider.
Edit: don’t hate the idea of trying Cuylle on the top line either. Guy makes stuff happen. |

Yea kakko doesn’t help drive play 5v5. Mika and kreider are good players but not know for great evens play. They need a winger who can help there. Zac jones and Schneider can’t be a pair. Disaster together.
Kane could be better than kakko but will he last after that surgery. A lot of question marks there |

All, You will likely be on your own for a bit. Unfortunately, my dad passed away this morning and I am dealing with funeral arrangements and the shiva right now. My dad instilled the love of sports in me. If you still have fathers, tell them you love them. Will keep you all in the loop when I have information to share. Thank you. |

Zekher tzadik livrakha, Jan! My dad passed in 2010. He is the reason I am a Ranger fan and a NY sports fan. I had the good fortune to share Ranger , Mets and Giants championships with him.

So very sorry to hear this, Jan.
It's easy to tell from the way you conduct yourself that he must have been a good man. Take all the time you need and draw strength from those around you and happy memories. |

The stat that jumps out me is shots on net with him. No pts whatever, but he doesn’t even get chances. He stickhandles pretty for like 10 seconds, nothing happens and then gets knocked off the puck and lumbers back to the dzone all tired. He sucks. It sucks. But that doesn’t mean that he can’t be better somewhere else. Him and Cuylle imo could be a force TOGETHER, they are forecheckers by nature that would work well as a unit. Trocheck fits in that mold also. - Slimtj100
Kakko is turning into a better defensive version of a hybrid Martin Rucinsky/Benoit Pouliot. Tremendous amount of individual skill but can’t put it all together. Still think he can pot 25 goals per season but just leaves a lot to be desired. Best way I can put it. You know he has it in him but I also look at it as a lack of confidence and willingness to use his frame to get to the tough areas. While he has great puck possession in the end boards he’s gotta get himself in better position without the puck. Something he struggles mightily with. |

I wish I didn’t grind your gears as much as I do🤷🏻♂️
Kakko sucks. Hunt sucked. They need a good player to work as a top line.
I was patient with Kakko, but cmon…he barely registers even a shot on net per game ffs. His game is puck possession and he never has the damn puck - Slimtj100
Relax, its just been a few games.
Its so easy to say he sucks but to find a replacement in a Cap world is just unrealistic. |
