My parents neighbor did the same with hardie, House is half the size of mine, said it came in around the 120k+ ballpark.

I want to build a small spray booth in the basement. One that won't ignite paint fumes, with an isolated motor etc.

Wow, that's a job. Admittedly, I know nothing about that Hardie stuff (or about home repair in general). And doors are ridiculous! We still have to get the front door done. It's a double door now, so it's gonna be about $7-8000 alone (CAD).
