We call our house the Italian nightmare. So many layers of crap all done DIY by the guy we bought it from who was Italian.

The upstairs bathroom had 5 layers of vinyl/linoleum on the floor.

The lotto boys need to score there. Both lack finish majority of the time

I got my old man to take the Schluter course with me (he's late 60s and stopped tiling in the 2000s) when he was unemployed for a bit. After playing with the kerdiboard he was like with how light this stuff is maybe I'll start tiling again if I can't find a job

We're doing our upstairs bathroom with basic finishes to get it looking good and functional again.

Once complete I think the downstairs bath will be a nice tile project with all new water proofing etc. Full gut. Can't wait.

Bought my house before Youtube and the internet. Incredible resources nowadays, I've learned so much. Going to build a dust collector this week for my shop.

Contractor rates here are insanity. My wife's best friend paid 6k to have a tub put into the same location a shower stall used to occupy. The shower pan was already the same foot print of a standard tub. 6 thousand (frank)ing dollars.

I want to build a small spray booth in the basement. One that won't ignite paint fumes, with an isolated motor etc.

Holy crap! What a ripoff!
I have a neighbor in his 70's who is a handyman, we call him The All Knowing. Not a know-it-all, just one of the smartest people I've ever met. So lucky to have a walking encyclopedia next door. Occasionally I get to inform him about something he didn't know. Feel pretty damned good those days.

gutted my entire house, after the windows and siding are done I’ll be building the kitchen cabinets
