Great news to see Frost back. Now what I'd like to see is that he be given an extended stretch of games to see if he can get his mojo back. I don't think a 1 game return type of thing is fair to any player after extended absence.

That's my hope as well. It needs to show some jam tonight but it's unrealistic to expect him to get 4 points in his first game back.

Ersson should go down and get some reps in at the ahl level. His two games he hasn't looked sharp. To let in 7 goals on 25 shots, only 6 HDC. let him go down and get a bunch of playing time. not sure sitting the bench most nights is the best for him right now.

Completely agree. I am not throwing him under the bus but he's been really bad and likely due to not playing any games. I think he's got a bright future but can't sit all the time. It's why I think Sandstrom would have been a better selection as backup out of camp.

So dictator Torts did something no one thought he would do. He broke up his fourth line. Yep he is stuck in his ways.

At least Frost is back, now just need to give him the Flyer's ample amount of time to get back to game speed...which is probably 100 games.

I noticed that. Don’t know what’s going on. Meanwhile Robertson is back in the lineup. Some writers have suggested a trade involving him and Frost.

Svetch on the 4th line? I know he's had his ups & downs, but didn't realize it had gotten to the point of being a 4th liner.

Maybe Torts puts out a hit on Tony D. I could see him ordering a Code Red from ND.

Not sure what the love for ND is but a smart GM would trade him and take that option away from Torts. He is a role player and nothing this team needs, and the salary he takes up could be better utilized.

Funny thing is this team still reeks of trying to get into the playoffs mentality. Things will never change i guess.

3 years left, not sure there will be any takers, but I agree. I hope he scores 10 goals and a dumb GM wants him at the TDL.

Trade ND with his contract? How much of the contract is the team eating?

The only good thing Poehling has done this season is win faceoffs. Frost can't do the same or better? ND even has more shots than Poehling has.

So he did sit the correct person.

If Frost gets one 1 point tonight the benching of Poehling pays off.

Deslauriers would be almost untradeable at this point in time, I would think.

There's people on this board, just last week, who were talking about the Flyers being way ahead of schedule in the rebuild.

I disagree. Deslauriers should not only be the player scratched but he should be out of the league.

Ryan Reaves signed a 3 year deal this off season and he is a black hole, these GMs still love the knuckle draggers.

I want the players on my team playing hard. All the GM can do is trade players away, we shall see what happens at the trade deadline. I do not want a culture of losing like the sixers did.

No one on the 4th line had a point in 8 games. Maybe Laughton can help the other two score a goal. Maybe they can help him get one too.

You could write for the Hockey News but his term, 20-team no trade on top of his salary (the Chuck special - Term & salary & NM/NT) meant that he was going to be a flyer at least through June 30th, 2024.

https://thehockeynews.com...lauriers-comes-advertised

The Deslauriers signing was the one most fans found particularly maddening. Not because Deslauriers can't produce the same numbers as Gaudreau — that much is obvious — but because of his bizarre four-year, $7 million contract that includes a 20-team modified no-trade clause. His $1.75 million annual cap his is far above the market value for a checking-line enforcer, and paired with his no-trade clause, Deslauriers is essentially untradable.
