FINALLY THE HOMER SIMPSON DEFENSE DOES SOMETHING - 2Real
I would give them a little pass today. Davis was on the injury report, was clearly not himself, and has left the game. So has JC. Blankenship returns, Byard is new. But Nakobe Dean has been a big disappointment so far. |

I loved bro hymn and song 2 as well. No prob with ain’t talkin bout love. We brought it back? When was it our goal song previously. - Hextall271 It was previously their goal song during the Lindros/Brindy era. We had season tickets from 1985-2005 and I think this was their goal song during their run to the Finals in 1997 (I think it was their goal song for a few seasons). Much better than some of the crap that they've had lately.

Can’t disagree with either “Bro Hymn” or “Ain’t Talk’n ‘Bout Love” as the best goal songs.

Congrats to Jonesy and the public relations crew!! I just found out that they brought back the best goal song that they've ever had!! That would be "Ain't talkin bout love" by VH. They must have received my request. So much better than the other songs that they've had lately! Now they just need to bring back the roster that they had back then! Congrats and Thanks again! - Phillywhiteout
Way better goal song than anything they’ve had recently. That Van Halen song used to be played as the warmup song before the opening face off going back to Sprectrum Days. |

the 6-1 KC Mahomes lose to the 2-5 Broncos without even scoring a TD
the 5-2 unstoppable Niners lose to the bengals
but I guess the Eagles are the ones that need to be worried |

Sounds like you were worried. Then the QB saves your day and you're pumping out your chest that he's the MVP. Typical Eagles head. |

The biggest disappointment from the game for Lehigh Valley was the Phantoms' power play. It was a frustrating night that saw the Phantoms go 0-for-8 on the man advantage.
Hasn't this type of result on the PP both on the Phantoms and big club gone on far too long? The Flyers clearly do not have the expertise in their coaching at either level to fix what has become the biggest liability for both clubs over multiple seasons now. Torts himself in the post-game mentioned the Flyers get back to 4-2 and get a PP right after that, but the PP sucked and it deflated the team. I understand the Flyers do not have superstars up and down their lineup, but when I see college hockey teams have better zone entries and quicker and mode decisive passing on the PP compared to the Flyers, its clear to me something is drastically out of whack here. It's time for Briere to hire a modern PP specialists as a consultant to the coaching staffs and at least get both teams to a point where the PP is a momentum gainer instead of a momentum killer! |

I simply don't understand this love affair with Kenneth Gainwell, while Penny, the guy with the highest ypc and yards after contact past few seasons, remains inactive game after game. - PT21

So far I’m not impressed. They seemed better when he wasn’t in there. But it’s early in this kids career. He looks small out there. |

No way! I love Van Halen but to me last's years Becky Lynch theme song was a far better goal song than "Ain't talking 'bout love". They got it right last season, they should have kept it going. The Flyers could have even got Becky Lynch to record an intro the Flyers could play before the game to fire up the fans, like the Bruins did with Ric Flair. Go back to the Celtic Invasion! |

What a horrible tragedy. I found a clip of it on YouTube. The worst part is it was no accident. It appears the other player intentionally lifts his leg in the air in a reckless manner in an effort to leg check him or slow him down. This should warrant the equivalent of a manslaughter charge here. You have knives on your feet. - Just5
It looked reckless in the fact the guy went for a hit in that spot. He wanted to make any contact he could. But it’s crazy to think it was anyway intentional as far as the result. I’ve been kicked a couple of times but never drew blood…just got the boot. I did have a guy skate across the palm of my hand (teammate’s) took 30 stitches. Went right through the leather like a hot knife through butter. |

It's strange for sure... watching the game and seeing how dangerous the Flyers are shorthanded that the PP is off so bad.
