I can agree that there is contact with another players skate.
However, even you must agree that it is an UNNATURAL reaction for that skate to fly up 4 feet into the players chest/throat area?
I think its very difficult to prove what that man was thinking ( or not thinking )so I really can't comment on "murder" accusations. But he should never play professional hockey ever again at any level...

There is no doubt this was unintentional. The fact that some people can say he should never play hockey again is asinine. God only knows how that man must be feeling right now. The game of hockey is so incredibly fast. He nicked the skate of the guy in front of him (clear as day) and that completely threw his body trajectory out of whack. When a clean hip check is thrown, is a skate not flying in the air? Think about any time your body is moving that fast and something changes the direction it's intended on going. You lose total control. The entire situation is horrible

I think my position is rational and reasonable: not asinine

His foot flies UPWARD in an UNNATURAL angle that defies gravity. I don't think he was trying to KILL his opponent, but it was a completely reckless act that resulted in someone dying. Would you want this player on the Hartford WolfPack? I wouldn't and I believe many organizations are going to feel the same way...

Have you ever played a sport where you can pick up speed very quickly like hockey or skiing? If so, then I feel you would agree when something unexpectedly changes your natural path of progression (like the skate in the video, or if you toe pick while skiing) you lose total control for a split second. That’s what, in my opinion, happened here

And yes… if he was good enough to play in the organization I wouldn’t want this freak accident to ruin the rest of his life

This.
Very strange reaction after the contact. Never saw anything like that before.
