Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuk. What an awesome game to go to. Was like a Hasek game and the Sabres scored on every shot. Congrats for being the only other person on 6K’s side. Perfect backup for this team. Keep the pressure on the phenom. He got better as the game went on. Cage was closed.

(frank)in right. It’s a great night to be alive. It’s a great night to not be a total fraud of a Sabres fan.

Wonder if 5 goals on 15 shots is a record. It's kind of crazy they pulled that off.

5-5 after the first 10 games. Still too small of a sample size to draw major conclusions but items of note:

- Peterka’s breakout campaign off to a good start. Thinking of what Quinn could have done as an encore this year makes me sad.

-Joker looks the part so far, still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but not complaining at all he’s been great.

- Greenway’s impact on the PK and play at 5v5 with Tage so far has been gold. We’ll see how this goes over the final 72 games, but he’s arguably been one of our most consistent forwards to date.

- Cozens started strong, had a rough few games but he’ll snap out of it. Opposite can be said for Tuch, brutal start but humming the last 4 games.

-Mittelstadt and Skinner are a good combo.

-UPL with arguably his two best games of his career the last two starts, hopefully the start of something here and not just a blind squirrel finding a couple of nuts.

- Erik Johnson sucks at 5v5 as expected, but I’ll give him his flowers for propping up the PK so far.

Glaring Weaknesses:

- My 1 and a half year old could draw up a better Power Play. Letting Peca go may rear it’s ugly head eventually.

- Need to find a way to pick up some loser points. Playoff teams find a way to pick up a points no matter what. All 5 losses in regulation has been the kicker so far.

The Colorado game may have been the easiest shutout in the history of the NHL. He was good tonight, but got lucky a few times like when it was Deslauriers who had the puck on his stick on the blown play instead of someone who can actually shoot the puck.

Could be wrong, but since he recently passed through waivers as long as he isn’t up on the big club for longer then a cup of coffee he can go back down without needing waivers again.

Brio is the bridge to Savoie. Then what happens after Savoie’s 9 games is where things get interesting

- Swedish_Jesus

Quinn + Kane is what will happen after Savoie and Benson's 9 games are completed.

and there's plenty of reason to think they have them in Roch

Rochester and Junior, but how long until they're ready to be impactful at the NHL level.

Next season would essentially be the rookie season for 1 to 4 of them, so don't expect a huge impact next season.

The 25-26 season, at the earliest?

Is it wise to wait another 2 seasons for that to come to fruition?

Is there anything wrong with trading one of those prospects for an already baked and ready forward who better fits a team need, and can be impactful as soon as he joins the team?

I think it's unwise to continue waiting for the additional forward need to be solved internally, as the core of the team is not hermetically sealed in some kind of time loop, where they don't age.

The TNT game highlight package showed that UPL got some fortunate breaks, in addition to performing well last night.

Nothing is wrong with trading prosepcts, but if you want to extend more current players, there's very little roster and cap room left for additions.

Also reject the idea that none of them can have an impact next season. There's a top 6 job there to take. Whover does will be in a great position to succeed.

Is there a top 6 job to take?

Tage, Skinner, Tuch, Cozens, Mittelstadt, Quinn, Peterka

That's 7 for 6, already.

If you want to say both Quinn and Peterka are 3rd line players, that's fine, but I would not assume that any of the big 4 who look to be most ready next season to join the NHL roster would be any better then Peterka or Quinn would be, with 2 more seasons of NHL experience under their belts.

You continually seem to dismiss Peterka, in favor of prospect promise and the unknown hope of potentially greater fulfillment.

I think you're wrong about him, and possibly big wrong.

The time is now re: next season to make as great an impact as possible, not just an impact.

I'm not wasting any more contract seasons from Tage, Cozens and Tuch.

I'm also not (frank)ing around anymore with giving Cozens musical chair linemates.

Get him a top quality winger, and watch him really hit his peak as a player.

The player in the top 6 that should be looked at to replace is Skinner. The contract is a stranglehold and if you can replace it with an ELC with minimal impact it should be explored.

Peterka is Adams best non #1OA draft pick so far. All the others are still riding the potential train.

Pains me to say it, because I was really rooting for him to turn it around, but we’re very close to needing to have an earnest conversation about Krebs.

There’s a lot to consider there. His development track was a little weird, and he’s bounced around a lot, but man…

Give credit where credit is due. UPL kept us from losing in the 3rd.

Can we just put back Skin-Tallman-Tuch? Also can we never have Cozen centering girgs and Okposlo.

Love me some meatballs but some of this sh*t is getting old. All this firepower and our powerplay looks like they have a combined IQ of 6

The price of reviving Mitts has been to relegate Cozens into the Larry zone.

That will certainly help.

The core of this roster is playing fine, the role players continue to be a concern.

I'm starting to waiver and I love Donny. The weird line changes (Cozens on 4th), benching players who are playing well (Petey) and bus parking needs to cease.

I don't disagree. While last year they certainly held up vs expectations, this year they have fallen well short at even strength, and I'm not afraid to say it.

Sabres are trying very hard to find 3 evenly balanced scoring lines. keeping void on the bench is definitely helping but cozens needs his buddy quinn back.

just a hunch, but when you're playing opponents like the flyers, you can afford to be a little more experimental and try new things to see what works.

You sure about that?

They were very fortunate to win last night.
