VO being good on the PP has always been a myth. Team has to create their chances on the PP, it's not as simple as having a guy stand there and wait.
- Lunaion

it's funny because all he does is stand there and wait

Some bad puck luck imo.

heard this sh!t for over 13 years now

is it too much to ask for a few of these guys to be difference makers instead of blah

the bottom half of the roster use to be the backbones of the franchises with grit and energy

now they just float and keep their heads down on the bench

I think he was a good add but what I really want to know is " Where's the other end of this Moose"?

Not putting okposo out for the last 52 seconds on one of those PPs might have helped

I agree they need to find a way to get the tage clap bombs going again. Mitts on the opposite wall brings the threat of a cross ice pass and one timers from that side as well

- ieetbred

I wonder if Mitts could be serviceable down low at the bottom of the faceoff circle...play the Nakita Kucherov role...gotta:
-process the game quickly
-have excellent hands (which he does)
-have a good shot, accurate

If not him, Benson looks to have many of those qualities

He leads the team in hits. And also own goals deflecting off himself.

If you wanna harp on a guy for having his numbers showing on goals against look at Samuelsson, guys been abysmal at points this year.

No. If you also belive in Mitts, where do 4 1st round kids fit here?

Skinner, Tage, Tuch
JJ, Cozens, Quinn
Mitts, Stamkos, Greenway

Something has to give. The $ doesn't work either.

- Lunaion

I'm really not sold on Greenway being anything but a L4 winger yet.

I'd have no issue moving on in the name of some superior skill

I think hes shown the ability to move up in the lineup but I also do believe hes better served in the bottom 6. I like him stepping in for Benson yesterday when Manson tried bullying the kid.

He'll be an awesome Okposo/Girgs replacement next year.

Some talk of Olo for Tanev, just thought I would pass it along. How that would work and who sits I have no idea.
- SABRES 89

Hmmm.
I Would by far rather have Andersson in a blockbuster trade scenario, but I would take Tane especially if Olo is going the other way.

I'm not either, but he adds something they don't have and he's a clear Donnie favorite.

That's 1 spot, and there's 4 1st rounders (+ a 5th not far behind). They all look capable of a contribution in the NHL this year. What does a slow moving, indecisive GM do?

I mean, wow if that worked. If that's one for one, tanev must be shot this year

Would be something hilarious about having 3 RD rotate on the bottom pair, while we continue to talk about needing a top 4 RD.

Gladly take him over Bryson to open the door for someone at F.

Team has been abysmal, but their defense has solid numbers individually and a unit. I haven't watched him play at all outside the one game though.

Think I'll make this move if you envision him being a better partner than joker.

It made sense prior to ufa but it's a bit confusing rn

Your team is better when you add Tanev and subtract Olofsson and Bryson. And add Quinn for that matter

Imagine if Levi put up a 2.09 .932 over 55 games in Roch this year, and was blocked again next year.

Interesting organization.

Kyle Okposo spoke to Cale Makar briefly after the game and explained that he wasn’t trying to push him or apply pressure to cause that collision with the end boards.

Okposo tried a stick lift, then intended to skate around Makar to the right. Okposo was relieved Makar is OK.

He does and is, but does that supercede being an Adams favorite (ie the rookies or a coveted target someone else didn't pound tables for) ?

Where does he fit though even without Bryson. Are you bringing him in to be the 7th guy? (I wouldnt mind that but he might) He has only played over 69 games once in his career.

There's not enough Tage one timers because every team knows what the Sabres are trying to do, and the Sabres offer limited movement, in favor of the same umbrella they've tried to employ for a while now.

Greenway is a bonafide third liner.

On a team full of that exact same player type.
