We lost Graves and Severson and replaced them with a rookie and Smith/Miller. Hamilton was never a stud on D and Marino is doing his best. Then there's whatever Bahl brings. I'm a believer in Luke, but the growing pains will be real. This is why I had little belief that Nemec would also make the jump, having 2 rookies learning on a team that should be contending. We gotta figure out a better 6th dman option. Maybe Miller can show something once he gets healthy. Maybe Foote. Maybe someone in the minors. Could use a giant Russian or a Casey or Walsh to throw in the fire, since Smith is a waste anyway.

Between giving up the first goal every game so always having to come back to inconsistent D and not great goaltending there is lots of room for improvement and we haven't been playing top tier teams yet

Caps goal to put them up 5-4 was a 2 on 0. The defense has been horrible, they turn the puck over constantly in their own zone and at times trouble getting the puck out. Luckily its early in the season. But this offense is fun to watch, least we have that

The way I look at Hellys contract, Jets will get a ton more for him with a contract already in place.
As far as Im concerned, he still available. You dont go from I want out to so happy I got my 8 yr deal.

PDO: 27th(they've been unlucky, it'll even out)

Just need to clean up the defensive miscues and start getting saves(including on the PK too). This team will be fine.
