Sometimes I can just think about something, and it can make me soooo horny.

So it’s just back to the way it was which was never a problem. All that’s happened is that the league made itself look stupid by solving a non-existent problem and backtracking after the inevitable backlash.

From my understanding, the old rules were that you could show your support for NHL-sanctioned causes.

Now it looks like they are saying you can support whatever social causes you like.

I'm willing to bet a pitcher of beer and a plate of nachos that somebody is going to do something that will upset this apple car again.

Sports should be just sport. No social or political causes should be involved.

Folks go to games to escape this place not have aspects of it rammed down their throats. We are all very much aware of all causes on a day ti day basis just by waking up and having phones, computers, radios, and tvs. If an individual didn’t care before the attending the game they won’t care after it.

Just causes problems and discourse. Players who support will support and be chirped by those who don’t. Those that don’t will be chirped for not supporting. Just causes problems in a sports worlds. Just unnecessary in my opinion. But moving the needle one way or the other.

Edit: and the apathetic will be forced to choose one side or the other.

On an actual hockey related note:

I find it odd that the PA argues for a player who was suspended for a hit in another player who is injured as a result of the hit and called out he hit.

Im not sure. It’s really unclear and I’ve not seen any specific reference to pre-ban policies on using tape. Prior to the ban, teams could wear special warmup jerseys in support of their theme nights: Pride, military appreciation, NHL fights cancer, etc. The use of jerseys in support of those sanctioned causes was prohibited as was the use of Pride Tape. But players had been using the tape outside of those specific nights for years.

Anyway, I’m not sure you can even buy Confederate Flag hockey tape.

I don't know anything about KT one way or another, but just saying a lot of people swear by a lot of stuff that you can find out about on the website or youtube. The placebo effect is a real effect.

These are people i play ball, beach volleyball, ball hockey, bike with over the years.
Not random (frank)s.
It adds support and decreases pain during the game. I use it, it works.
Maybe it hasnt worked for some, didnt work for me until i used it properly.

The NHL had a good plan with league-sanctioned theme nights.

They chickened out, faced the hot blast of backfire, and now they've settled on something that they have no control over, and inevitably will backfire on them once again.

I think all people, in general, need to go back to keeping their opinions to themselves unless asked. Then avoid the answer, if you so choose, depending on your surrounding...of which they should all be more aware.

Pro sports leagues can STFU. Athletes shouldn't be forced to "support" anything. Just play the game and IF they want to support something off the ice/field, then it's their prerogative. Some things should stay neutral in the public eye.

Not a fan of this "if you don't say it out loud then you must be against it" mentality. There is a right venue and a wrong venue, doesn't have to be every (frank)ing venue. Let me eat a hot dog, drink a beer and do whatever it is I'm doing without being continually reminded of some other cause.

I"m pretty GD progressive socially but I still want people to STFU, and some more than others. (frank)ing hate dumb female genitalias now thinking that I some how want to or need to hear what said dumb female genitalia thinks, right or wrong.
