He did, but there's no way Bettman will reverse the decision of his own DoPS. It wasn't enough games to qualify for an appeal to an independent arbiter so the decision lies with Big Gary

I'm in a union and I am torn about them. We have mostly good people but when there's a really bad one it makes you question why unions exist at all.

That's the MLB umpires union. Nothing is done about awful umpires. And at this point just let the robots/computers call strikes and balls.
