A fair point. But, this is the landscape the owners and GM's have created. Every team has overpriced players. It's more that the salary cap is ridiculously low, than that a lot of these guys are truly overpaid.

Late and far enough from the boards to be dangerous (as evidenced by the injury). A 2 min. minor was the right call, IMO. Unfortunate ending for Burakovsky. I'm sure we'll hear the call for Trouba's head by dinner time.

Make it make sense, any player that causes an injury like this should be suspended for the same amount of time the injured player is out for. Trouba and others have been getting away with these types of hits for far too long

You do realize that Seattle fans had TVs that broadcast NHL games before the Kraken became a team, right? Or do you avoid two thoughts in your head at the same time because it gives you nosebleeds?

And Trouba is a predator and deserves to be assumed guilty until proven innocent.

Exactly. Same with this hit. Was it a penalty? Sure. Was it predatory? Not a chance. I agree with the call, based on timing and distance to the boards. But, really that was about as slow-mo as someone could slide into the boards. Certainly not what it would've looked like had he truly been headhunting.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head that was egregious was crosby. Chicken winged him. The pens fans should absolutely hate him. Last game was close I guess? At what point is a player far enough away from the boards? The other ones where he stepped up in open ice and flattened someone are legal. A discussion could definitely be had about changing that if too many head injuries are occurring as a result
