Then we're insane. Look at Comrie on WPG vs BUF, it's very clear how bad our defense is:
WPG: 19GS 2.58GA and .920SV%
BUF: 19GS 3.67GA and .886SV%
So remember, if you do trade for a goalie, look at their save percentage and subtract about .03 and add 1GPG, as this will give you their approximate percentage here. Don't believe me? Same happened with Hutton. The fact of the matter is we are swiss cheese defensively and until that changes, the reincarnation of the Dominator wouldn't change the outcomes here. - QuinnFan
agreed but hutton is a bad example
he literally had vision problems after a few months in net

I thought that was in the second season? My bad then. Can switch out for Ullmark who was good here, then turned into a world ender in Boston. Many were skeptical about resigning him and applauding us not shelling out the money Boston did...I don't hear from them much anymore.
I fundamnetally don't expect that line to work. I don't think they do either. It's the reason they kept Mitts at 3C and gave balance to the middle 6. Slow start made him panic and load up....and he sure doesn't hate playing LOG more.
Think people forget that JJ-Cozens-Quinn weren't together when everything was on the line at the end of last year. It was:

agreed
plenty of examples
one reason why I think they are too quick to rush the extensions to the gm and coach
it's a common theme since the playoff draught going back to miller
play crappy d and the goalies get shelled more often than not and tons of high danger shots

Doesn't some of this have to be just a result of small sample size for backup goalies? Take one with great numbers one year and it's almost a lock for them to drop off significantly.

That defies the logic of, "they are a year older so they are better"

It'll sway more widely for sure, but the general pattern is still there. This is just a very hard place to succeed as a goaltender right now. I believe the last time we had a goalie get better here, outside Ullmark developing, was Chad Johnson and even that was very short lived.

Agreed, he was a great goalie that got cut short by tons of injuries. He was so good, we traded him to tank harder lol. But he still sticks to the pattern, next full season with the Flyers he gained .006 in the SV% and .7 less in GAA, with the latter stat being the big change.

That didn't apply when he went to NYI for the end of the season though...

Yeah, was 5 games and the Isles got pumped. They had 3 wins in their last 10 games that season as the tires fell off. The next year in Philly, he was noticeably better than he was for us.

I wouldn't be surprised if they sent Levi down at some point(sooner than later) and went Comrie/UPL split.
I dont mind being wrong but I don't think hes better than the other 2 at the moment.
Some seasoning would do him good IMO. Let him dominate in Roch for a bit.
