I don't agree with that logic. 40/82 = .487. 69 *.487=33.6
It's been a while, but I believe I found 4 games. It's razor thin. - Lunaion
Can't believe I'm digging into this one again, seemed like a dead end, but I found the MoU that I believe covers it.
"Accrued Season: 30/40 thresholds shall be pro-rated by a factor of [70/82] if the Player was a Roster Freeze Player. If a Player was not a Roster Freeze Player, the 30/40 threshold shall not be pro-rated."
Did the Sabres have a roster freeze? Anyone have cap friendly premium to tell?

oh interesting. which means he was on the roster for 34 games.
prorated, 39 games. - TheSabresTaco
Or this proration,
40 gm qualification within normal 82 gm season = 48.78%
48.78% of 69 gms actually played = 33.66 or rounded to 34 gms for qualification.

good find. As he was demoted well before March 16th, he was not a roster freeze player.

I don't. But reading the the MoU, it reads out as "Players in the
NHL as of 5:00 p.m. New York time on March 16, 2020 (the “Roster Freeze”)"
The roster freeze is the cancellation of the season. If you were rostered on that day, you were a freeze player.

Prorating counted for any player who played NHL games during the 19-20 season, whether they were demoted or not at any point. |

Pretty sure many teams called players up so they could be part of the roster freeze. |

Roster Freeze Players are players who meet the following requirements:
Players in the NHL as of 5:00pm ET on March 16, 2020
Players with at least 1 game played in the NHL in the 2019-20 season
I don't know if the Sabres had a freeze roster at all. If they did he could have been on it.

welp. He's at 39.83 games if they prorate him. 34 if he doesn't. Interested in learning the answer.

Sorry add "I can" at the beginning.
Quinn coming off that injury, who knows what he'll look like when back. Hopefully hes right back where he left off but it is a tough injury to deal with. He was my favourite player last year... Went and got his name on my Goat Head Jersey. So im not just picking on him. Have to see him when he gets back obviously.
JJ a bit different, they may like another prospect more like Kulich, since he can play both C/W. JJ has looked good this year, IMO, I will say.

You don't prorate him. You pro-rate the requirement.
34.14. They don't mention anything about rounding. If the 34 is accurate, I'd say it doesn't count.
How sure am I about rounding, the freeze roster, or 1 scratch? Even less than I was a few hours ago. |

samuelsson yes
the gophers had 4LD and 2RD playing last year but I do not think Koster or Faber were on the bottom pair, their 2 RD's and I do not think Johnson was on their bottom pair I thought Cal Thomoas was playing out of place on the third pair as RD
they rotated 7 the year before with 3 being RD's
I thought I read he could play either side though |

not sure how productive it would be to remove an established ELC player for an even younger unestablished ELC player with a similar game.

He's playing LD in Roch I assume then?

6K is the perfect backup for this team. Team plays great in front of him. Add it to the long list of takes you and I were the only ones right on. It is a bit nerve racking how far out of the crease he plays. Oh well just makes him play that much bigger.
Who’s gonna win tonight? |

Quinn coming off a tough injury. Could very well move on from him if they feel he isnt the same player.
JJ they could think they can get something for him (include in a trade for a D upgrade) and can easily replace his #'s.
I like both players just think this could happen. Both arent really that established. |

Josh Norman gonna be elevated this afternoon for Kaiir Elam (non-injury related) … woof. What a whifff
My guess is, with the trade deadline being Tuesday, they don’t want to risk Elam to serious injury. |
