It’s week 5 …,cool your jets….so much more has to happen. The Eagles played a very, very good road game today. Hopefully the 49 r’s learn how to protect the QB this year when it counts. Lol.

Week 5 is to NFL season ~ what the 18 min mark is to a NFL game. It's early sure, but doesn't mean trends cannot be discerned, especially if they are strong.
Also, I have never heard of a NFL team playing a good "road game." In NFL, teams largely play the same way away as at home, except perhaps adjusting for crowd noise in snap count (under center/silent count etc.). You Canadians: always with the hockey metaphors.
And you better pray they DON"T protect their qb, as you saw yesterday what that team is like. Dallas is a good team.
But I don't want to be all negative.
I was just watching the Redd1ck last sack again.
They tried to chip him with a RB and then have the RB release into the flat. But here is the thing. The other guy on RedRichard's side was the back up RT, who had just come in I believe. This is Warren McClendon (WM), who played at Geogia and was a teammate of Jalen Carter (JC). His job is to help contain Redd1ck and perhaps slide in if Redd1ck takes the inside (which Redd1ck NEVER does but hey WM is a rookie). JC is next to Redd1ck btw.
Now, WM knows what JC can do. So, even though JC is double teamed, when the ball is snapped, he sneaks a quick nervous glance at JC, which means Redd1ck is by him and bowls over the RB, and by the time WM comes to Redd1ck, all he does is push the guy right into his qb.
And he should be nervous of JC. For JC DESTROYS his double team and bull rushes the center flat on his ass. He should get an assist on the Redd1ck sack. That sack and the fact that a RB is ending up trying to block Redd1ck w/0 help, is because of the havoc JC wreaked throughout the game and consequent nervousness.
So, yeah, better pray Purdy is out and JC is in when we play them in the playoffs, because that game is gonna be at candlestick and we will need a dawg-gone prayer.
