disagree as not with another year left after this one.

That is the good part about having 2 retain spots left, Cam at 2.9mil has a bunch of suitors come TDL is he is healthy. It is all about his health.

Our defensive pairings better not be what that lineup is. Staal and Walker on the 3rd together is like watching 2 Yandles on the ice at the same time.

York/Sanheim
Andrae/Risto
Seeler/roatate(staal, z, walker)

Best move is to make a trade, maybe see what walker can fetch. I would rather have Grans up over staal & walker, Attard can't play D so while his offensive game is good he needs more AHL experience. I moved Andrae with Risto to cover for Risto's brain farts, and Seeler need to play 3rd pairing mins and PK no more. Rotate the last player should be a coaches job. If it was me I give Z the 3rd pairing left spot and move seeler to the right side.

SO Something along these lines

York/Sanheim
Andrae/Risto
Zamula/Seeler

The Kings had to give up a 1st, a 2nd and a good prospect as well as retain part of Provorov's salary in part to move Walker. If they could've just traded Walker, they would've. The Flyers took on Walker as a cap dump in part to get those picks. If there was a market for Walker, he would've been traded already.

Seems like a B level prospect to me. Took a step back last season. This is his 3rd year in the AHL. He needs to show a lot of improvement.

Retaining on deals with 1 or 2 years left is what we should be doing to maximize asset return.

Using LTIR once the season starts is also a smart move. Taking bad one year contracts to get picks back in a deep defensemen draft is a smart move.

Totally agree on Walker but when injuries happen anyone can get traded. Staal I think moves to a playoff bubble team close to the TDL.

No, it's actually the opposite. Staying out of LTIR and staying under the upper limit, gives the Flyers more cap space to work with down the line. Cap space under the upper limit is bankable. LTIR cap space is not. Secondly and perhaps more importantly, LTIR is not even available to the Flyers right now once the season starts.

From the looks of that practice lineup, it seems like their going to start with rotating Brink and Foerster. Just another piece of evidence that Tortorella needs to go.
- MJL

Really, so who in your mind should sit in the top 9 so both Foerster and Brink can play?? It’s amazing to read the crap that is being spewed by so many of you this morning. Every team has a fourth line that is physical and provides energy for 8-10 minutes a game. Foerster and Brink must be in the top 9, so I ask you again, who sits? Couts? Tk? Bee? Tippet? Come on, none of you have a legitimate gripe because none of you can legitimately answer this question? Wake up! Andrae, Zamula, Foerster and Brink are ALL up with the Flyers, what else do you want?? The Flyers still have to ice an NHL team, don’t they? For once give the team a break!

You're completely full of crap as usual. There is an easy answer to who sits. Starting with the guy who can't play. That's Deslaurier. Waive him and send him to the AHL. Then while it's certainly not ideal and trust me, there is no way the Flyers will do it but there are two choices on who to move to the 4th line to make room for both Foerster and Brink to play in the top 9. That is Atkinson and Laughton. I personally would move 34 YEAR OLD Cam Atkinson to the 4th line. He didn't play at all last season and the Flyers are not going to be a good team. If one of Brink or Foerster shows after significant time that they aren't ready to play full time in the top 9. Then you have an immediate replacement. Start your brain and think out of the box and stop being a Tortorella lap dog and apologist.
You're spewing the same crap as always. Before it was " I can't believe the crap you all are spewing about Fletcher! "

Agreed. That Lars guy that the Flyers got from LA looks like a worse version of Phil Myers based on what I have seen so far. Eh what?

This is stupid. If anyone belongs on the 4th line it is Laughts, but you have always overvalued him, so no surprise there. Atkinson simply isn't a 4th line player, but you don't like him cause he is one of Torts' buddies. Agendas...agendas...agendas I say.

What's stupid is your asinine reply. As well as your lack of reading comprehension as I clearly also suggested Laughton as an option. You're also not smart enough to realize that's it's not about who is a 4th line player. As both Laughton and Atkinson are better than 4th line players. It's about creating a spot so both Brink and Foerster, two young players with a future, can both play full time in the top 9. You're also stupid for suggesting that it's about who is Tortorella's buddy when clearly I stated, as it is the main reason for why I suggested Atkinson, is because he is 34 years old.

Your agenda is to just come at me. Lucky for me, you don't start your brain when you do. Now I'll await you whining about someone being condescending to you when you do it repeatedly.

And as everyone suspected, a vet pocket passer is shredding the Eagles pass D.

And my god, does this team know for just once how to defend against bubble formations?

well you are the only one. He has a very fair contract with term (2 years after this) that provides teams certainty and several playoff runs. An idea player to move for all involved.

Was at the Phantoms game last night in WBS. Hoping they would have dressed an AHL lineup. Thought Gendron was their best player. Good speed, smooth skater, did some nice things offensively.

St. Ivany got a goal but he's not a big loss. Should be a decent AHL middle/bottom pair guy.
