I just have a weird feeling Laf doesn't want to be here.

I've always thought that part of the trouble for our young players could be that it's f'n New York City! Constantly so much distraction that maybe it can be harder for young professionals to focus on what they need to do off the ice to reach their potential. IDK.
Not an excuse for him or any others, just a thought.

Would rather bein the NYC market where it's easy to blend in or the Toronto/Montreal markets where you're under constant pressure. Because what you said could be and probably is true for some players.

Look at ROR. He went to Nashville to avoid all the big market hoopla. Nothing wrong with that if it’s what you prefer

All rational takes. Hence why some of us (me included) thinks Laf can be a productive forward. He'll never be Mcdavid, Mackinnon,, Matthews, Or Bedard.

I always thought of LAF, and Kakko for that matter, as more of like +/- 25g, 40a players, never as superstars. Which would make for solid, top 6 complementary players with the potential to do a little more. Othmann I could see being better, flirting with maybe 35g/35-40a. Cuylle seems like the type of guy who could be a 25g/20a guy.

I'd be thrilled with 20 goals from Laf & Kakko, 10 from Cuylle.

Well, there's a +/- factor for each guy. So, it's more like we're gonna get between 65-120 goals from them.

Surprisingly golden retrievers are climbing the bite list for dogs.

Definitely a possibility. I don't know what it is, but he just looks to me like he is going through the motions. Hopefully I'm wrong and its just his personality.

Kakko will have the best season of all 3 I believe. He has a great work ethic on both sides of the puck. Hes a bit unselfish, but you see that a lot with younger players. This is his year.

Hopefully, they need it to be. I want that line to produce, because in their limited together last year it was very good in their process. They just couldn't get a save and were snake bitten.

I think it will be chytil, at least on the scoresheet, if he stays healthy. Kakko is better all around. That’s my guess

Yeah, good point, Chytil might do the best point wise. I guess I don't put him in that younger group cause he has been around awhile.

Kakko just cant take a back seat to Kreider and Zib. I get why he might, but he needs to take more shots if he has an open look. Even if he doesn't score we have the best guy in front of the net in the league

Which is wild when you think about because he's only 24.

He can if he's doing what they don't. Be the defensive cornerstone and the play maker on that line. but analytically, it worked last year. Gallant never went back to it. Give it to me a again.

True, Zib is also underrated as a play maker, I just don't want to see Kakko pass something up if Zib is feeding him. He definitely seemed to be shooting more towards the end of last season, which was great

This is probably the deepest opening night lineup we’ve had in decades. It’s a shame there are even deeper teams just in our division alone. The only thing we have that they don’t is an Igor.

Would be much needed. Especially at his cap hit.
