Noted. My comment was a response to all the posts regarding signing Toews for a sentimental journey. - LAHawk
You all make good points, I was just wondering what the boards thought process was. |

on that first Wings/ Sprong goal, Nate Danielson handled the boards and the back hand for him to walk... |

Really hope we don't see that in the regular season from Kaiser. No look pass right in front of your own goalie. |

Red wing fans favorite "star" CENTRE Marco Kasper... on wing.... - wiz1901
There aren't any true wings fan that think Kasper is a "star" center or player at this point. He'll have to earn his ice time like every other prospect. This is the preseason so he'll probably get moved to center at some point to see how he does. Hopefully he'll pan out and eventually be part of the new core. This is his first year in North America... so he'll start in Grand Rapids. Yzerman has stockpiled some very good prospects in their system... so we'll see who really breaks out. |

I guess Kane isn’t going to Detroit, they gave 88 to Sprong. |

Just pre-season but the team is going to want to forget that one. Not many positives to build on, just a trainwreck in their own end tonight and Stauber didn't look sharp tonight IMO. Not that he could have saved this game, but it didn't help. |

Kane allowed to Sprong loose as Yzermsn hopes skilled scorer Sprong breaks out as the new kid prospects filter in with some nice looking young talent already in place ....
Oh ye Red Wing faithful.
But know too Sprong could very well amass some goals yet since he is what you might call a likely a late blooming scorer for the NHL Been waiting in the weeds as other organizations thought he is too offensive minded |

Big expectations and falling short
Maybe not exactly "big" expectations for some Chicago sports fans this weekend
To witness and it was painful
White Sox is brutal. Couldn't help crosstown Cubbies with a couple of victories against the North Siders playoff foes. What a mess on South Side so might they rebuild? Tough situation.
The Cubs just collapsed. Both hitting and pitching was too short when it counted most. But there is young talent here and on the way. The team is close to playoff bound in years ahead
The Bears is a huge disappointment. Bad. This bad
"FIelds of dreams" .....That is correct, a dream more so a fantasy. Blame coaching, the talent, the GM strategy. There has been shortcoming expected before the first game but now are the Bears worse in league? Bad Bears. Bad Bears
I don't really care much for basketball but Bulls haven't done anything much following their disappointing season
Now the Blackhawks...
Here Come the Hawks, exciting Blackhawks take the attack Bedard and Co. The momentum.and the talent base will continue to improve under KD and Richardon coaching
Tonight though imagine if those two certain glacier skating pair found themselves on a two man unopposed break away.
The other team's skaters could call fall down, get back up and still get back to defend. How Chicago scores here is a Perry screen and Crevier can blast the biscuit fairly well. But Perry needs until next week to get to the crease ....so the other team would have to stop for dinner before resuming play..Maybe in a cartoon this happens, eh
Blackhawks are for real though; not too much the other teams although Cubs aren't too bad! |

I liked that Bedard adjusted against Edvinsson. First time he was shut down, then the next time he pulled a next level move on him. Bedard may not have everything down yet, but his adjustments are quick. He also wasn't on the ice for any of the Detroit goals, so there's that.

The Detroit hockeybuzz column breaks down the entirety of last night's loss
The review is worthwhile read
Detroit has top young draft choices they are not going to rush
.
That is probably how KD will treat his kiddie brigade for the most part
After Bedard and most likely Kaiser, probably Soderstrom and Vlasic stick from opening night.
While there has been much conjecture about KK playing at the NHL level, why not give either Phillios or Roos a real good opportunity.
They might be next in line, nit Allen or KK
Will just have to see who gets in lineup andvifvthey impress Richardson. |

KK will be interesting to see, but I still think he gets at least 9 games.
Soderblom is already on the team. I’m sure Vlasic is as well, but we’ll have to wait to be sure. I have this suspicion that Kaiser will be sent back down. It would be odd considering he’s been with Jones the entire time, but he’s had some notable mistakes and they sent Vlasic down for a whole year after showing well in his first 15 games.
I think you can stick a fork in Roos jhawk. I doubt he has much of a chance. I like Phillips. He seems to be really steady when he plays. We’ll see I guess. |

I would bet your thoughts on the roster - specificly the players mentioned - is the most likely scenario |
