Joel Armia was another player who had many opportunities on the day, but true to his form in the latest years, he missed them all,

Excited to see some pre-season games, a few with the kids, then some major cuts for the middle 2, and then almost the full roster for the last 2.

Glad the cut from 8 to 6 games.

Edited with first cuts Cedrick Guindon and Florian Xhekaj as well as goaltenders Quentin Miller and Jan Spunar were returned to their respective junior teams.

So that still leaves 71?

I expected a little bigger on the cuts, but probably try to get as many of them in the next few games as possible, for assessment, then send back to their leagues... AHL guys likely some of the last to go.

They will try to at least give one game to as many guys as they can, then cuts will really start

not just for assessment but to reward their prospects

it's so sad, why don't we honour those nice Nazis instead that never do anything wrong?

Note, the CBC wrote it, so they're framing it very gently not to slander our current ruling party

I get that the CBC can be somewhat biased (although their reporting is usually considered very credible and objective), but to turn it into a bigger deal than it is wouldn't be much better, unless your goal is to stir up poop of course.

Well, they are underselling the unit's involvement in the war and implying they joined simply for Ukrainian independence. They were burning civilians alive.

Also, they had him there because his unit fought Russians during WW2. Who were allies with the Soviets in that war?

'To be a part of this unit, you swore allegiance to Hitler,' Dan Panneton, a director with the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, said about the First Ukrainian Division — also known as the Waffen-SS Galicia Division — that Yaroslav Hunka served in during the Second World War.

they should've probably left that part out then... they can't even be smart about their own bias, silly CBC.

Again, to fight for independence. They seemed to amplify that point

it genuinely seems to me you're looking for issues where there aren't really any, but sure, let's go with that.
