I didn't think he looked particularly good at all - he took a bit of a dumb penalty running into their goalie. He was "directed" there, but he was going anyway. His line, I think, generally did pretty well, but I would credit most of that to Minten, who I thought pursed and played pretty well.

The guys who I thought played well - or that I noticed doing good things - were Steeves, Ellis, Petruzzelli and Hildeby.

The ones who stood out the best for me were probably Minten and Knies - the latter of whom had a bit of an up and down game, but he was still in the mix. Nylander was probably the most dangerous - but he was more playing shinny. I thought Domi looked generally better as the game went on, but he was pretty bad in the first, so was sort of an easy path to getting better!

They waived Spezza and Simmonds for the same reasons.

If it makes the cap work for opening night they will do it. Gio can be 7th D and still practice with the team.
