Konecny would not be an easy move at the deadline. Most teams will again be cap strapped this year and he has another year on his deal.
- MJL

If the co=gm decides to move TK, he most certainly would be an easy move. His cap hit is very affordable and the team will have him for 2 playoff runs. That makes him even more appealing. Flyers retaining would be an even smarter move.

they will have zero issue moving him if they go that route.

Zero issue. It can be worked out, not a big deal. And the next year is a piece of cake. Cap going up significantly

We tried to get them to go for a frost for pinto deal, but I heard they wanted Laughton instead. If that is the case Ottawa would have to add to make that deal as Laughton has more value than Pinto.

If they want TK then that starts with there 1st rd picks. IF they want us to take salary back then prospects get added.

- Flyerloon

Good luck with that

That doesn't add up to me. Granted I don't know a ton about Pinto overall but Ottawa, an up and coming team is going to deal a young player for Laughton, who on a good team is a bottom 6 player?
- MJL

Ottawa has Ridley Greig who they feel is there starting 3rd center on the future. Trying to figure out the Norris issue is why they would need Pinto at all, otherwise he is expendable unless if he moves to wing.

Laughton provides them with something that is missing in there bottom 6, an all situation player. Yes he is 29 and Pinto is 22 but Pinto has played 1 year and stayed healthy. I don't want to trade for any china doll players, we have seen too many injuries in the last 10 years.

It's not a piece of cake. Right now, there are only 10 teams that are projected to have a miillion or more of cap space. Tagging space will be an issue as that will be based on the current cap and not any projection of the cap going up that will not be announced until after the season.

Having never played a single NHL game, Andrae is better than Sanheim? He'll have to prove that to me. It's debatable whether York is better than Sanheim.
- MJL

Watch more game this year and see what he does. Kimmo is what i keep telling people is what he looks like on the ice, smaller, good skater, Hockey IQ.

pinto puts ups a few more 35+ point seasons he will be worth more than Laughton alone.

What do you think Laughton's value is and what would you move him for?

- hello it's me 2050

A third rounder at best

We can retain and take a lower priced player back. There will be a ton of teams with interest, it is not an issue

Keep on telling people. Again, he has to prove it before he is anointed. He has not played a single NHL game.

Imo, he is our most valuable asset and is worth more than just pinto. Pinto did not finish his season on a strong note but still has potential, but, if we are moving TK then DB will need more coming back in the deal. A 1at rd picks pinto, and at least another 1st or top prospect is my asking price but I don't feel Ottawa is at a place where they'd mortgage that many assets since they're not a contender, let alone a lock for the playoffs
But this is just my opinion and I'm sure we'll hear about how people will disagree with it lol

it is a piece of cake. Players get moved all year long. Any team would find a way to make it work rather easily. This is what good teams and Gm's do.

The Flyers are going to be in LTIR and will be cap strapped themselves. I have not commented on the level of interest. I'm commenting on the cap picture and why it's not an easy move.

trying to argue over this is entertaining. This would be arguably the simplest move the flyers can make.

Let’s just hope the Flyers feel the same way about trading the player as we do

not a chance imo. Only hope is he tells them he doesn't want to sign an ext. If he has any though of ever wanting to win he exits stage left.

Though 8 years 8 million per may entice him to stay

TK is a hot commodity, there will be no shortage of suitors. Pinto a first and a third sounds like a solid return but I’d rather go for a better main piece. Pinto is a solid prospect but most likely not a first line ceiling, nor would their picks be very high
- ClaudeFather

I'd personally aim higher as well. I'd wwnt at least 2 firsts, pinto and a second for TK and their cap dump player. If they don't bite then a contending team will at the deadline but then those 1st round picks are deeper picks in the draft and to me, not as valuable as a top 20 pick.
I'm still holding out for LA to make us a sweet offer for TK... I have a lot of interest in quite a few of their prospects and LA is very close to being a cup contender, imho

Agreed. Retaining cap just sweetens the return we would receive. If we agree to take on a bad contract in return then it could be a fleecing of chuck feltcher caliber level

Ottawa hasn't signed Pinto yet because they are at or over the cap. Any deal would have to include Flyers taking a bad contract.

ASF said they want us to take Mat Joseph as a dump so they can sign Pinto. and that the Flyers might be interested in someone else on the team. they haven't heard back from the Sens yet.
