We tried to get them to go for a frost for pinto deal, but I heard they wanted Laughton instead. If that is the case Ottawa would have to add to make that deal as Laughton has more value than Pinto.

If they want TK then that starts with there 1st rd picks. IF they want us to take salary back then prospects get added.

I believe there were more moving parts to the deal. Brannstrom/Joseph were the other names mentioned due to cap issues.

Personally I value Laughton a lot more than Pinto due to a couple factors. First Pinto has not been able to stay healthy until last year. Second Laughton you can play in all situations and Pinto's game is not there yet to kill penalties.

Watch him play then talk to me, he is for real no need to pump any brakes.


Dumb move would be him playing in LHV, because he has the skill to play for the Flyers and is better overall then half our current dmen.

Pinto has upside but so did Nolan patrick so until he puts a few seasons together he is a player with upside. Not worth trading a Laughton for straight up.

Pinto did not finish his season on a strong note but still has potential, but, if we are moving TK then DB will need more coming back in the deal. A 1at rd picks pinto, and at least another 1st or top prospect is my asking price but I don't feel Ottawa is at a place where they'd mortgage that many assets since they're not a contender, let alone a lock for the playoffs
But this is just my opinion and I'm sure we'll hear about how people will disagree with it lol
