What is this? What a dumb twist

“Because Adams over values the prospect pipeline and current core.

Kane on a 3 year deal, makes more sense then what Adams did this off season”

With Benson, Savoie, Kulich, Rosen and Ostlund all in the system and the likelihood that at least one is ready for the NHL next season, how can they sign Patrick Kane to anything beyond a one year deal?

Tuch and Quinn are long term solutions at RW.

Tage, Cozens, Skinner, and Peterka are all top 9 locks.

Greenway and Casey make 8 of the top 9, and then one of the 5 I mentioned above would get the 9th top 9 spot.

Are they extending Casey or trading him after this season?

Would they actually put Greenway on the 4th line? Doesn't seem like a pound the table Donnie move to do that.

Not going to be able to make room for everyone as early as next season (safe assumption they wuss out with any big decisions at forward this coming season).

Kane doesn't make sense to me on anything other than a 1 year deal.

Agree with quite a bit here.
Mitts & Greenway should be trade bait. Having just acquired Greenway makes that doubtful, yet I just don't see him in other than a 4th line role with the talent coming in the future. While I like what Mitts brought the last half of the season, he is the epitmoe of a player who should be replaced with a highly skilled player on an ELC.

Krebs, they probably bring back on a Bridge deal, although to me he is a prime candidate to be moved, likely in a package. Moving him while he has plenty of RFA control and likely bridge candidate would maximize his value.

Joker proved to be more of a 3rd Prair guy. Do they really need him?

Shouldn't the roster this season actually out for a couple of Rookies breaking in on a regular basis...
Or defer until the '24 season and break in more Rookies from among

Signing Girgenson, Okposo, Jost, E Johnson while retaining Olofsson is a headscratcher.

So KA is in hot pursuit of Kane. What sense does this make? First he signs Okposo because the kids need him to lead. Now he's going to sign Kane to take the place of one of Okposo's kids.
Second he signs a young goalie to lead the team and has another young goalie as a backup. Brings in another goalie to be sure if the goalie he has all the faith in fukks up.
I'm not going to be surprised when the fourth goalie shows up with Kane and Stamkos.

4th goalie is Toks. 5th is Cooley. 6th is 🏠

Anything more than 2 years on Kane is borderline psychotic. I look forward to the 3 or 4 year deal. 😞

Didn’t house just get foreclosed?

Maybe a re-up in wherever the echl is this year?

You don’t like Kane that’s fine.

Twisting what I say about Adams 4 years as a GM and reducing it to signing Kane as the only solution is moronic.

Most prospects in the system are a year away from their rookie seasons, the current core is ready to take the next step and the offense could use veteran leadership that thrives under the spotlight/pressure.

Kane’s play is down since 19/20 interesting, 2020 he had 84 points, 2021 92 points. Almost a ppg on a tank roster last year with a bad hip. Also a career + player.

It’s wild how poorly some value players in and out of the organization on here.

Skinner - Thompson - Tage
(Why mess with a good thing)

Peterka - Cozens - Benson
(speed & tenacity, Benson is showing well so far)

Mitts - Krebs/Jost - Greenway
(let's see what happens)

Girgs - Jost/Krebs - Okposo
(Because they have to)

Olofsson -
(he is so valuable, nobody wants him)

They can flip/rotate Tuch and Benson as needed

I think 🏠 is on an Ahl deal. But he will be shoring up net in Jacksonville

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. He has the best goalie stats for the Sabres over the last 2 or 3 seasons. Well maybe Levi is better now.

Long term (3yrs) on Kane is too high of a risk for me.
What's the AAV? He was paid in cash $6.9m last season.
How long is his break-in period? Hip recovery is not easy, does it slow him down, re-emerge down the path...he played 54 games last season.
How much more does he produce over Quinn?

He was an outstanding player no doubt. Will he continue to be?

My fat finger hit the wrong emoji...I do agree with your observation.

Honestly, it is too bad Savoie got hurt. I would love to have seen him play at RW...a

Yeah I saw something about that. Thought practice was better until he learned the system. Unless there hiding something in practice, what I have seen so far shouldn't be that difficult to learn.

A lot, how is Quinn comparable to Kane?

The risk is low and it’s more palatable if they didn’t resign and overpay the larry’s.

Really hope JJ takes that next step and Quinn can pick up where he ended last season when he gets back. Sabres have the makings of a impressive top 9, even top 12 if Kozak and Rosen keep developing. Rosen has really grown his defensive game. Fun to think about.
Skinner Tallness Benson
JJ Cozens Tuch
Savoie Kulich Quinn
Rosen Kozak Rousek
Skinner leaves or is traded someone in that top 9 moves up and Wahlberg, Poltapov, Kisakov, Neuchev should be ready
