I would like for Kevo to surprise me on this one. RJ is going to need to continue dominating down the stretch to make this a challenge.

They expected Quinn and JJ to compete and probably win out last offseason. I'm not sure they expected the same out of RJ. We'll have to see how he fares this upcoming week when the herd is thinned.

I think UPL was one, last year. He 'surprised' them. They didn't have the personnel to send Comrie packing based on several variables.

Greenway and Stillman were both deviations as well. Last year began as a 'let's see what we have' year. Adams admitted it last offseason and this one too.

They were acquired because they realized they had an honest to god team and wanted to boost one of their main weaknesses. They didn't give a poop whether or not they made the playoffs in respect to the trades because they weren't rentals, and still address the same needs today as they did last year.

Didn’t they wait till Comrie got injured to bring up UPS?

My guess, the most likely outcome, is that his season ends here because he forces a position for himself post-injury of an NHL D and they can't take him out, like Samuelsson did.

Gonna be interesting to see how they break that up. I just like that it's being made tougher on Adams. Some of these kids look like they deserve a shot and probably won't get it because of a numbers game. Basically locked himself into a lineup before July was even over.

Somewhat, definitely needs to improve with high shots, which is surprising being a big goalie. Think there's a lot that went into some of his crappy play. But he also won Rookie of the month I believe. Will he get better, don't know but playing better overall hockey around him would sure help.

I think he does too. It looks like the 9 games are a given.

Think he's better offensively than some think, decent skater for as big as he is.

Best prospect since McDavid.

Closest comparable I think is Jack Hughes but Bedard could potentially have the best release in all of hockey outside of Matthews.

Even if injury Bryson should be sent to the 585. Johnson is looking way better.
