It's extremely difficult for me to believe that this is where he's at. Or that this info hasn't leaked.

This is basically what Zegras has done in ANA and that info slowly came out from national guys.

- Michael Ghofrani

Dahlin is also under contract this year though so there's no pressure, other than the pressure Adams put on himself by claiming this was a priority this offseason

That's an effective balding strategy, let's see how this plays out...

Where did that come out about Zegras?

All that I've seen is the rumor that Verbeek is only offering a bridge deal at $3M to $4M per.

Dahlin doesn't have to do anything to get his terms.

If he so chooses, he tells the Sabres: "These are the terms. Take it or leave it" and there's nothing the Sabres can do other than pay him or trade him.

The agent definitely might want that reality to sink into the GM/fans

Wonder if dahlin would look at eichel's career and the injuries, when considering on playing out a contract?

Dahlin himself has had some head issues, I would think 100% a new deal happens..... before October 12th at 7pm

Zegras camp has been asking for a bridge deal for a bit now. Think lebrun had something on it a while ago.

If that's an accurate number, he signs $4 years/$44m.

And then cashes in at age 28 on a 7/8 year deal worth $12.5 per

Someone will give him that deal in FA if it isnt the Sabres. San Jose gave Karlsson that deal coming off major Achilles surgery. That's the path to $144m in earnings by age 36 vs. $84m by age 32

But a deal was already done, all they had to do was wait for Dahlin to come back from vacation to announce. Then they were waiting for camp to open, now it's the season opener? What's next? Trade deadline?

👍agreed.

Again, 4 years would be hurt the franchise deeply.
