Style wise I like the Horvat comp; good shooter, has speed, will take a hit but isn't initiating contact. I also think William Karlson is a good comp for him, both Europeans who needed to adjust to the North American game in the AHL. Kulich is already further along than Karlson was at this time but it is tough comparing guys from multiple years ago. He's good at finding the hole in a defense, sitting there, being seen and then taking his shot and repeating.

The good news is they already have their top 2C established and 3C may be as well with Mitts, so the Sabres can move him to wing where he would have less defensive responsibility, although I wouldn't say he's a liability on defense by any means, he's just not winning a Selke either. I think he can easily take Oloffson's spot on the PP but can bring much more to the even strength line than VO normally does. He'll get time in Buffalo if only because of injuries. Next year he should make the team outright, assuming he keeps developing as he was in Roch.
