I'm out of the country but saw some of the marching around different provinces.

What's going on up there, from a Canadian's perspective???

Uhm, people have been complaining about the team all off-season.

Assuming Klingberg can play, I like the D. But no matter how much I might like them, flexibility and depth are real issues when the cap is this tight and no one is waiver exempt. Things worked out ok last year when guys went down and maybe they can manage it all again this year but it’s an issue.

If something needs to be done it will be done.

Good players locked into good cap hits, depth is not a difficult issue to fix.

Plus plenty go ways to work around it. Can send Gio through waivers and keep him with the team if need be to bring up and down guys.

Its only the first day of camp. Why people are worrying about anything right now is beyond me.
But its soemthing to talk about I guess.

Some people who are worried that teachers are making our kids gay or trans or some other awful things marched around in a few cities. They were mostly outnumbered by counter protestors.

Nice to see that people have such confidence in the ability of teachers to turn he’s into she’s when they have failed to teach most of us how to use apostrophes.

Oh man it’s not that easy. I have no issues with any aspect of the community - but as a dad I just feel important that me and the wife be the ones as parents to speak to our own children regarding very grown up type stuff you know.

We teach tolerance and an understanding that everyone is allowed to be true to who they are you know - but a lot of the subject matters gets a bit too much to be taught to my own child by a stranger. I’m not a meathead who is intimidated or lacks confidence and looks down on folks who choose other ideals in life at all - if you’re causing no harm then you’re alright with me eh.

I just want to be the educator on things outside literacy and math and school curriculum type stuff.

But the sex ed in school these days with all the nuances and other stuff is just too much man - so very different from the basics that a child needs to know through school: puberty, body parts, reproduction, etc. it’s just extra stuff that is based on personal ideologies and preferences infinitely etc. it’s just not the same so to me it’s not that simple at all.

Sex ed is really basic and so his the discussion on this in class. Short and basic.
Imo kids need an unprejudice basic view on this.
But teachers are definitely not trying to convert anyone.
