I mean if that is the biggest mistake Laviolette makes, it's going to be a great season. I'm just saying for day 2 of training camp, don't love it. Wheeler and Panarin are similar player in terms of style. Plus neither are elite defensively. Kakko if he develops no further, has shown he's improved by leaps and bounds in terms of limiting chances against while he's on the ice.

I know and I agree. But, Lav has never coached Wheeler, right? I have no problem with him seeing who has some ability to play with who, so long as his priority is to give KK every chance to prove he should be there. Hopefully that's all this is.
