Are you that chubby glasses guy in that big woke meeting who yelled at everyone "p...p...p..point of personal privilege....can you PLEAAAASE tell people to stop clapping? because it triggers me."
If a new coach shows you his family pictures and things that are important to him, and asks you to do the same...in an effort to get to know one another better...you'd ask him for a warrant? REALLY? Babcock also invited several players to his home for dinner with his family too...would you ask him for a vetted background check before entering his property? References? (vaccination proof...hehe, I know you would do this one). Careful...there might be clapping, handshaking and maybe some laughter at that family dinner.
Ironically, your post is actually THE epitome of a "soft" "woke" "beta-male" reaction.
Show your coach a picture of your damned dog and your girlfriend, go to his house for dinner, and then lace up your f'n skates.
People like you are destroying not only sports, but society. - JLO961
So you'd hand over your info no questions asked? How Canadian of you eh, comrade?

Taking your phone and scrolling through your camera roll is entirely different then going through your family photo album there bud. Take a second and think about it. Comprehension is difficult. Anyone who uses beta and alpha nonsense like that is more than likely a soft dweeb - ClaudeFather
No no. I'm sure s/he's a bad mother (frank)er truth teller. Not just with a keyboard. He would totally come right out, talk to people like this and not get (frank)ed up beyond repair. |

Context is important and juicy details are short.
On the surface, wanting to see photos on a phone is the modern version of showing photos in your wallet. Remember printed photos in little clear sleeves in the center of your wallet? Stone ages, but not a bad thing. Show me your family photos didn't used to be creepy or weird. A few players were probably OK with it and a few probably weren't. We don't know the solid details here.
What pictures did he see without permission? What exact photos did he throw up on the big screen for everyone in the room to see? Who was in the room? What was everyone else's reactions?
We don't F-ing know. So, we fill in the details ourselves with speculation.
Babs is a douche. That much is well established. The world has changed.
I would have gotten wind of his phone game and filled a burner phone with pics of my hairy balls. Hand that to him and watch what he does. - GalacticStone
A leopard can’t change his spots. Everyone knows who Babs is. But you’re right. The public doesn’t have all the information. The NHL puts perception and image out front.
About 10 years ago, a friend went to work for the Dept. of Corrections. The last interview before hire they told him he’d have to give up his passwords to all his social media. He deleted everything. The world has changed.

There is a difference between "tell me about yourself, can you send me some pics of you/family so i can get to know you" and "give me your phone". As an aside, Mike commodore (who previously played for babcock) came out and said that he did that in toronto too. It wasnt about getting to know the players. It was to see who would do so, who had something to hide (i.e. text messages), and what their personal lives were like for assessment. He (commodore) said it was just a test.
I really like my boss but i am not handing her my phone and passwords. I didnt think babcock would get another shot in the NHL but he did, and ruined it for himself with the same old approach. He learned nothing. |

Again, it's the "left" side of society that always has things to hide isn't it.
Using the term comrade proves you're that guy in the wokey woke meeting...don't you betas call each other comrade? Haha...I'm sure I remember that. |

Wouldn't that make you a sheep though, just following orders? The conundrum is quite interesting. |

We can already tell you are retarded because you paid for a "season ticket" on this site. But, go ahead and keep removing any doubt by spewing this culture war nonsense. |

Really disappointed in John Davidson, I have known him from his rookie year with the Blues. How much longer is he going to stay with Jarmo and make excuses for him, sorry as a scout he was very good to great but as a GM, HE STINKS! The Blue Jackets fans do not deserve his horrible job as a GM! |

I never thought Babcock was a good hire, but to see it end this way is awful. We will never know what really happened, but if there is one thing for sure the haters got their way by crushing Babcock in the media.
Blu, sorry to disappoint you but GMJK and JD admitted they made a mistake, but they did everything they could to make sure they made the right hire. Bad hires happen, and Babcock's on-ice work, especially with d-zone structure, was something the CBJ needed. They are not the problem, and if they are ever fired, its because they haven't won.
The problems with the CBJ began when they were founded, and a series of bad GM hires have tortured this organization for years. GMJK and JD are the people who fixed the problem, not caused it. |
