3rd liner Beau must go but more expensive 3rd liners, like like Mikheyev Garland and Boeser should be gifted positions.
Beauvillier is the only reason I might watch a few Canucks games this year. Seems to be the only player who applies puck pressure on this team of candy-asses.
I am sure if they do trade Beauvillier, they can find a Swedican to replace him.
Go Canucks Go. - Reubenkincade
What constitutes what line a player is? Ice time? PPG? Where they line up on the starting roster? Sort through some numbers here. Min 14 GP to avoid skewing the stats.
PPG
1-96 .78 Pettersson, Miller, Kuzmenko
97-192 .51 Boeser, Mikheyev, Garland
193-288 .37 Beauvillier, PDG
289-384 .24 Hoglander, Joshua, Dries, Aman, Pearson
TOI
1-96 17:46 Miller, Pettersson
97-192 15:56 Boeser, Mikheyev, Beauviller, Kuzmenko
193-288 13:41 Garland, PDG
289-384 11:32 Pearson, Hoglander, Dries, Aman (Joshua 11:31)
The new boys
Blueger .25 PPG 12:54 TOI
Suter .30 PPG 14:03 TOI
One could possibly conclude that since they score at a league rate of a 2nd line player and avg ice time of a 2nd line player that Mikheyev and Boeser are 2nd line players, where is Beauviller is 2/3 line player. You could go with the eye test but that's pretty subjective to things like mental capacity, fan boyism, whether or not you cheer for the Bruins |

So he is auditioning at camp this year for an NHL or AHL contract? - manvanfan
Let’s see him play first and see where he fits. Zlodeyev an interesting one to say the least. Hoping for a sweet surprise performance. |

He is only 21 years old.
18 in KHL/ 33 in VHL last season. I saw him play half a dozen times in VHL action last season.
Has never shown a high offensive skill. Mature defensive game.
Ceiling right now, I'd go with a 13th forward. Something like a Luke Glendening, Teddy Blueger type of player. For a 6th round pick if they could develop him into that, solid pick then. |

I have said many times my wife is a psych nurse. She disagree's with your assessment and we have talked about articles and things that have been said.
She said different people will interpret his actions in different ways but it's not actually abuse. - manvanfan
Based on what Franzen has said he had to deal with during and after having him as a coach I respectfully disagree.
Thankfully it seems there might be some traction towards getting him fired now that they're re-opening the investigation. |

I didn't realize your wife worked for the Red Wings and Maple Leafs and had complete knowledge of everything that happened while Babcock was there. I also didn't realize she was the be all end all of psychological assessment of people she's never met. My apologies.
(For what it's worth, while I don't have a degree in it, I took psych and sociology classes at uni) |

Are you friends with Babcock? Were you in the Red Wings and Maples Leafs rooms? Do you have complete knowledge of everything other than what is on the internet?
If you answer no to all of those things, you made the same be all end all psychological assessment of people you've never met. Just without actual skills or training to do so.

It's actually so crazy that you're this heated while defending Babcock of all people |

Boone Jenner is more heated.
3 vets on the CBJ have spoken out on the matter but I guess we should just wildly speculate based on past events. |

I'm heated? I asked if you had a medical background or experience in the field and you came up with an bumhole answer and so I asked a few more questions and again you came up with "I'm heated".
At no point have I ever defended Babcock, I think he is a POS person. Do I think he should have a job in the NHL? Honestly if he took some training, courses and has grown up (a lot). Give him a shot. I'm sure the NHL has monitored him over the years.

Vets vs kids on the team sounds like.
As I said Mike Commodore a guy who has hated Babcock for over two decades is at the for front of this.
Some might want to look for the answer somewhere in the middle of all this. |

Kinda my feeling as well on Beau.
I like Garland b/c of his creativity.
Mikey hard to judge, but seems like will be another injury prone guy we won't be able to rely on for long stretches.
Boeser is too slow physically and mentally. Prince charming had a good couple years where he surprised teams/goalies with his shot, but his code been cracked. His only chance is to play with a far more creative player than we have that can attract a lot of attention and open space so BB can sit in the slot with all the time he needs (and it is a lot) to pull the trigger. |

You have way too much faith in the NHL as an organization.
I understand why you need to see your wife's assessment as the ultimate truth of the matter, but it doesn't work for me 🤷♂️ |

Just keep digging yourself deeper into that hole. Be mature and you and I can continue to have an adult conversation about this. If you're going to keep insulting me or my wife.
Just going to prove what I think that you have a small Richard or some (frank)en loser that lives in their parents basement.
You chose. I can have an adult conversation about the matter, can you? |

???
All you keep doing is asking me if I have a medical degree and hurling personal insults, that's your idea of adult conversation?
What's left to converse about? All I said is that Babcock psychologically abuses his players, you clearly disagree. |

Are you aware you threw insults before I did?
Asking you if you had a degree and expert knowledge about the subject is obviously a pretty legitimate question to ask someone you don't know.
So the answer is no, it wasn't my idea of an adult conversation. Your answer to whether or not you had a medical degree turned the conversation into what it was going to be. Then again when I answered without insult to you about whether or not I defended Babcock or not. Instead of leaving it at "I have too much faith in the NHL as an organization", you added another part again.
So yes, I replied with an insult of my own finally.

Could you explain where I was insulting you? I don't think I said anything too pointed, besides poking a little fun that didn't try to tear anyone down in any way, as opposed to saying you have a small Richard and live in your parents basement.
Ironically, I think you might be reacting too sensitively to the situation. |

Now if I told you the little "innocent" poking fun can be a form of abuse. The same as me saying you have a small Richard. We both kind of look like Babcock's don't we?
Now I'm reacting too sensitively to the situation......
The NHL has let Babcock coach again after he was horrible and abusive to players for decades.... You say I have too much faith in the NHL but I have seen recently, other coaches fired after investigations and other executives given life bans from the game. Players enter the substance abuse program and be allowed back into the league and others like that Kings Russian D never allowed back after domestic abuse of his wife.
No I would never argue that the NHL is full of perfect people. Clearly far from. Doesn't mean they are made up entirely of bumholes. They also did an investigation into Mitchell Miller and made Boston remove his contract. Joel Quennville I believe was also looked into and denied. |

I thought it wasn't abuse?
For real though, the NHL has taught me to never trust anything they do or say at face value. They have made a few good steps in recent years, but still not nearly enough to convince me that the organization as a whole is any less rotten at the core. |
