McD keeps improving his skating & D & we’ll see him called up.

Hirose do what he does & get stronger & he’ll also be called up.

Not a lot to get excited about from this tournament. As you suggested they are battling for call up priority.

After watching this weekend this is how I would rate Canucks call ups.

Juulsen
Podkolzin
Hoglander
Silovs
Hirose
McDonough
McWard

If they go deeper than that then the game will not be worth watching

I personally am not a fan. He has some improved things but I think he is a longshot. My opinion. Klimovich was a ghost. Bains like Raty needs a lot of work still.

Really not a lot to see. Nothing to be disappointed with and also not a lot to get excited about. Fourth line players.

I think the goal tending looks solid and the D looks steady. Sasson had a good two games, not great, but good.

The D move the puck well. McD was the standout forward IMO looks like he could play bottom six.

Canucks need Hronek to be a long term home run or that Horvat trade is a big fail.

I think I have seen Raty play now seven times and never really impressed with any part of his game. Of course it is just my opinion, some others may feel differently.

I don't see anything special about his game. Canucks need to get a better young center prospect.

Maybe in the Hronek trade.

Hronek looks like he worked out quite a bit this summer. He and Petey look in very good shape. Even chubby Boeser dropped a few lbs.

I read previously that Hronek's weight/muscle gain is sort of a yearly thing? Can't train as much in the season so it sort of yo-yos (his injury probably add to that this year as well...

He's still 20 years old. He's not that old, especially for a center. Think he still deserves a bit of a runway here (not saying you're not giving him that)

They also dodged Horvat's cap hit, which is a huge win in and of itself

I am trying to take the train of thought when/if he starts to stand out then I will get excited, until then he is just another Abby Canuck player. I hope I am not seeming critical, because I don't have a lot of good to say about him but I am not critical either (I hope).

Ya, makes sense. I know he had a lot of chatter when he was younger but sort of dropped off. Hopefully a full year in Abby gets him on track. Seems to have worked for Hoglander.

I don't know if you are watching the game but the announcers were just saying the same thing. McD has been the standout forward and Raty still needs work and full year in Abby will only help.
