Thanks, didn’t get a chance to watch the game. - Angotti
2nd goal probs put a big ol’ smile on Kaner’s face. 3rd goal he was casually slinging it. Just. Awesome. |

I think it comes down to Vlasic, Kaiser & Del Mastro and I wouldn’t be surprised to se a rotation throughout the season.
But to start, I’d say Vlasic has the best chance then Kaiser. |

He was asking who would be traded, DK.
Kaiser will be in the line-up on opening night. |

Tough question because none of them really bring back much help in terms of value. All of them are left handed and all of the are waiver exempt. I would have to say based on contact/age/performance/upside it would probably be Phillips/Vlasic that get moved. I don't think any of them will get moved in the near future and the Hawks will probably give most of them a look as the season progresses unless 1 or 2 of them really shine and hold a spot down.
I actually think Roos is the young ELC D probable to actually get moved this season (depending obviously on what happens with our vets, injuries, etc.)
What the Hawks prospect pool needs is another Right Handed D. We have Rinzel, Crevier, Krutil, Kelley. After Rinzel, not much to be too excited about IMO.

Allen was solid, played his game. Solid in his own zone, perfect partner for Korchinski. Btw, outside of Bedard, Korchinski and Kaiser were stars 2 and 3 in my opinion. - ChicagoHope
Missed the game, good to hear that Allan played OK. He is a good east-west type guy to match Korchinski's north-south.
If he is playing the off-side RD or both sides in Rockford, I would expect him to start a little slowly, and barely score initially as he focuses on defense at the higher level. His defense first focus should make him an NHL regular in a couple of years.

You know i was thinking about Pinto and if they can't sign him I'm sure the Blackhawks could come up with some kind of trade package for him. Question is, is he worth TB 1st round pick?
Another question is, is Pinto KDs kind of player? - BetweenTheDots
Yeah, right now, if you traded that second 1st Round pick, and it's gone before you know the season and playoff results that the Lightning have.
Or where the Blackhawks pick is.
If their first is a top two, that means another forward gets drafted (and that is terrific).
If their own pick is somewhere floundering in the top ten, there would seem to be a better chance 50-50 on defense or forward (and then the TB later first is most definitely defense.)
So the question for GM Wiz is whether Pinto is a necessary trade get b/c he is closer to ready than the guy the Hawks take early first in 2024 at forward. (Both Celebrini & Eiserman play soon).
And to answer the first part of your question if Pinto is even worth that Lightning pick. The 2024 Draft class is a little bit better than average but if the Lightning win the Cup of have a long playoff run, this second first might be worth that late 2024 selection that I was adding defenseman depth.
Nah, on second thought, pass.

Personally i would rather see what kind of 1st round pick we are trading away. That's just me, would do a 2nd and maybe they want one of our 4th line forwards?

Ludwinski is a 200 foot puck hound. I guess the question about him is does he have any offense. |

Saarela had a good first period. Front of net on Rolston goal, drew a penalty, SOG on rush.
Allan seemed to be in the right place mostly, good push to get the assist. Korchinski OK except for the oops on the PP. Crevier good net protect on the PK.

Doubtful they trade any young dmen any time soon. If they did, they would get a prospect - forward or other position - with flaws. We would not get anything better in a prospect than the quality man
Prospect we trade.
Kaiser and Korchinski will not be traded. The other dmen will have opportunities to develop and make the team. Some may wind up moving to another organization but I doubt that KD trades any of the kids any time soon. The prospects who fail to make the grade here likely move in with little or no return value if they even get traded.
There could be a situation come along like the Boston trade but more likely they move on when KD determines they have no future here. KD will just plug in more prospects and some make it while others get cut loose
The draft is where KD will rely upon for future top players as well as other roles. Surely KD will always have some veterans and once the team is pretty good then he might sign a free agent or try to trade for a top player
I would be surprised if anyone on the board disagrees with this. Pretty much this is how KD will operate/construct the roster |

I expect no major roster moves under KD until perhaps the trade deadline when he likely will consider dumping some veterans. If Chicago actually hangs around longer than expected sniffing the last playoff spot, perhaps KD doesn’t move anyone or merely swaps out a veteran for another veteran or a flyer on a sort of failed prospect like the players he gave a look last season. That would be a Bjork & Wagner I think was the fast skating wing from LA
I am more attuned and expecting that at various points in season and particularly after trade deadline ….KD will give prospects one or more look see and opportunity to stick. Playoffs this year not likely. I also would not expect a minute crunching veteran in S Jones to be moved until at least two kids come in and establish themselves as too four |

Korchinski is not ready for prime time. He needs to develop a shot if he is going to be on the PP.
