I have to admit kind of excited at the fact 2 of their best prospects are in college and can't dress for these games.

- BetweenTheDots

And Reichel is 21 yrs old! Drafted in 2020 with Kaiser, Commesso and Phillips. That draft has a chance to be a big one maybe even difference making. https://www.hockeydb.com/...aft/teams/dr00005218.html

The overall speed was impressive tonight, in all 3 zones. Can't wait to see them vs MN tomorrow to see how that aspect carries over. ...... IMO we saw the brand the Hawks will play for a long time to come. Speed, skill, compete and watch Bedard score 60-70-80 goals a yr.

How lucky are the Hawks and their fans to go from Kane for 15 yrs straight up to Bedard the very next yr?

The only thing I'm disappointed about is the Blues didn't play any of their first round picks this year

5-11 and 192 lbs is small? He's only 17 and could grow another couple of inches. LOL

You know i was thinking about Pinto and if they can't sign him I'm sure the Blackhawks could come up with some kind of trade package for him. Question is, is he worth TB 1st round pick?

Another question is, is Pinto KDs kind of player?

Those are good questions dots. If the answer to your second question is yes, then maybe he’s worth Tampa’s first. I saw him play a few times last year and he was noticeable, but don’t recall his skating/speed.

If he does compete in his own end, the more 20 goal scorers you can accumulate the better.

Kids are impressive, but STL played the night before and was on a back to back. Hawks will be in that situation Sunday. Future looks bright and as others pointed out, no Nazar Moore Rinzel Green Kantserov. I just hope everyone stays healthy in the upcoming years and continues to develop. Bedard in a class of his own. Can't wait to see this team in 2 to 3 years.

Yeah Kaiser = real deal
And Allen is no slouch - perfect with Korchinski

- wiz1901

How did Allan look playing his off side? I expect he’ll play in Rockford next season with Del Mastro and Kaiser battling it out for a roster spot. They could both make it if Korchinski gets sent to Seattle.

It was Lardis Dach was trying to get the puck.
- Elbows15

Think you're wrong -- never once looked at Lardis -and would not have had any idea he was that close -and am pretty sure Dach would have been aware of an option having gone to the open left side (probably had a lot better chance of seeing that too).

Looking at the angle the puck went off of Dach's backhand - take the goalie away -that's tape to tape to the forward camped by the LW side of the net -wide open and with the goalie normally going to be focused on the puck carrier who went down the RW side. 76 had a crappier angle as well. In this case it just so happened to be Bedard down left -all I am saying is as a decoy he is going to open up room as well.

Obviously, Bedard stole the show with his hat trick which was insanely impressive, but what impressed me the most was the Hawks defense and back checking. The Blues at the most had maybe 2-3 solid scoring chances all game. It was the easiest shutout DC had in his whole career from pee wee through college. The Hawks absolutely dominated from the 2nd period on. I hope Bedard sits tomorrow, no sense getting him hurt as exciting as it was tonight, the kid is too special to see him hurt because of a needless injury. Damn, is his shot wicked though or what!!

Allen was solid, played his game. Solid in his own zone, perfect partner for Korchinski. Btw, outside of Bedard, Korchinski and Kaiser were stars 2 and 3 in my opinion.

Yeah, no. Dach even told Lardis he was trying to the puck to him when they came together.

Lets say that two young dmen have go for help up front, which two are you moving out of Allan, Del Mastro, Kaiser, Phillips, and Vlasic?

Way too early to tell Lou. Have to see who develops, and who will be a NHL/AHL tweener. Someone may get injured too along the way. In three years, you're going to need several defensemen besides Jones and assuming Murphy moves along. All of the names you mentioned plus KK and Rinzel will be available for a roster spot, not counting who else gets drafted in the next year or two.

But, if you have an eye out for a young forward in a couple of years, it's good to deal from a position of strength. Trading partner may want a specific guy too, so who knows?

Like those damn fudge packers going from Favre to Rodgers for 30 years (1992-2022). I’ll take it!

If I had to pick today it’d be Del Mastro and Phillips and it’s not even close.
